My eldest son went missing many years ago, and I found him (throat cut) by checking every hospital I could find.

Yeah. Even when you're straightened out on who's who, it's obvious people would have known. A local boy broke out of jail and is now suspected of kidnap but nobody in his hometown knows anything is going on.
