Thanks for posting over there... I should have registered there so I could post... but I never expected to be this involved or for it to go on so long... Thanks for keeping up with it all... :)))
(I sent my magazine ad in and my other clients have been told what's going on... :)) So hopefully I can get out of working for a little longer... ;-)

If you can give me Prairie Lady's email address I would be glad to pass on that info to keep this thread updated if I receive any information. I will be at my computer all day.

Branden L. Basham, 21, of Hopkins County, Ky., was taken into custody Sunday night after police say he tried to carjack two women in the parking lot of an Ashland mall. I only just noticed that he was taken into custody SUNDAY night!! It's just that it was yesterday when they figured out it was Basham?? So why didn't we know YESTERDAY?? I'm confused...

I try not to post much on this thread, just lurk, because I can pray (which is powerful) but can't do what you are doing.
FOX reporting the whole story again now...
Anyway, when this thread broke days ago, I told my husband about Alice and Prairie Lady and how this broke on TimeBomb and then here AND LE's not getting involved right away. AND how I've followed the thread daily. Having not heard anything on the news, he was skeptical.
This morning when I said, "Everything you are hearing on FOX now, I've known for DAYS! He said, "Well, you're on the cutting edge. :)"
May the Lord bless all of you who have worked so hard on this and have prayed. I feel she will come home, too.

Thanks... the file was being so slow that I cancelled it, sent PL the news, and now started it again...
I was antsy... LOL
To: TankGurrrl
"info to keep" - that should read "info AND to keep", it appears you have things under control any way.
To: TankGurrrl
Oh good! Easy to get antsy in this kind of situation.

You know it's funny, because my family has almost been that way too... Here I am in the middle of it but since it wasn't on the news it was almost like they thought I was making a big deal out of nothing... NOW, they're much more patient and tell me "Oh, I can wait, this is much more important." Funny...
And my husband and boys don't even "believe in the news" (meaning they know what it's really all about)... but somehow the news "makes it real." Silly.

...was taken into custody SUNDAY night!! I didn't notice that. Good point! Of course, he did give them a false name and I guess they had to wait for his prints to come back.
Prayers for Alice.

FOX was reporting this morning, if I remember correctly, that that authorities believe Alice was still with the guy not caught. Heading to or already in Ohio.

My husband's first reaction was that maybe, she was just a runaway wife. But it was here that the first connection was made that Basham and Fulks (can't remember who made it) were possibly involved. I mentioned that to hubby Sunday night.
My husband is somewhat impresssed, now, I think. We both spent time together in prayer for lots of stuff and Alice.
Our families will one day "get it", I hope. :)
And again, you are awesome! (are you mildly OCD like me?:)
I think you and Prarie Lady, et al have made the difference in this case.

Can I put you down on my "emergency contact" list? ;o) You're amazing! Thank you ALL for your continued efforts to find Alice. It's because of your tenacity that this story has made national news and LE has gotten so involved. A lot of prodding goes a long way!

Free Republic IS an amazing place! You activists know how to light fires! We lurk daily and sometimes post but the sheer volume of news and commentary sweeps us away.
TimeBomb2000 is our Internet "home" because we've been there over 4 years and it is concerned with in-depth analysis of challenges confronting a rapidly changing world, and being prepared physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually for disruptions and disasters which are inevitable on this planet.
We're in the Cascadia Subduction Zone where geologists say a 9+ earthquake could happen "any day now" ...
And look how quickly a man-made CRIMINAL act can turn a family's world totally upside down :_(

And of course, you, Cascadians, who posted this in the first place. Bless you!

610 WTVN, one of the most listened to news radio stations in Columbus, Ohio, has been broadcasting the story and giving the license plate of the car all morning. Here's the story they are airing:
Escaped Con Eludes Troopers
The Ohio Highway Patrol says an armed suspect believed to be an escaped convict from kentucky got away from troopers after a chase on U.S. 23. F.B.I. sources have told the Patrol the suspect is 25-year-old Chadrick Fulks of Lewisburg, Kentucky. The patrol says troopers saw a late model B.M.W. with West Virginia plate number 4-D-K-3-0-2 at a Marion rest stop around 10:30 Monday night. the Patrol says a check of the license plates showed the car was stolen and possibly linked to two kidnappings earlier this month in Kentucky and South Carolina. The Patrol says troopers tried to stop the car with road spikes but it kept going and officers lost sight of it.
