This is an urgent plea for help from Prairie Lady; these are her posts: [copied]
I JUST got off the phone with my neice. It seems my sister (her mother) is missing since yesterday between 3pm and 4:40pm yesterday from the SouthCarolina area.
She headed north as far as we can track, but then nothing. This is TOTALLY uncharacteristic of her.
We need to know if she is on her own willingly making decisions, or if she has been abducted and is in need of help. Is there anybody from that area that can help?
----------------------
ok, she spoke to hubbie from home via phone about 3 pm yesterday afternoon. She left home at that time saying she was headed for her local walmart near Aynor South Carolina..I don't know the exact town...maybe conroe or something? She never made it to walmart. Survaliance tapes show she never went in there. She withdrew some money from the bank locally. She put gas in her car at the north carolina / south carolina state line (cherry creek). She withdrew a BUNCH of money in Raliegh Durham North Carolina. She spoke to her daughter at 4:30 saying she was going christmas shopping and that she would be late. But she never made it home.
If she had any inclinations to leave home, she never indicated it, and she would NOT be heading NORTH!!
She is 5'7 inches tall, LONG legs, 150 lbs, has very short medium brown hair. lots of freckels, hazel eyes. Driving a Dark Blue BMW 4 door with a mini antennea on the driver's side on the post between the door and the windshield, licence plate # 845HLG
----------------------
Go ahead and post it at freeps..thanks
----------------------
My brother in law is former military police. He made a call to the police and is tracking bank usage which is showing itself to be very abnormal such as numerous attempts to use the various cards but rejects due to wrong pin numbers. He's requested survalance tapes from the banks as well. She was supposed to go to walmart, but walmart survaliance tapes show she never made it there. So, hes compiling stuff to show that something IS very wrong.
Also, she talked to her daughter AFTER one of the cash drafts and said someting weird to her daughter...like I love you...and she NEVER says that to THAT daughter.
Anyway, I didn't want to put all this on the boards...
This is too weird.

I woke up to the news on Fox this morning that they had caught the younger one. He doesn't look too bright. Let's pray that they can get some information out of him!

"They don't have homicidal tendencies? Did you read the part about them emptying two magazines of ammo into a guys van because he tried to stop them from burglarizing his son's house?"No, I didn't read about the incident.
Sorry.
I avoid the Lamestream mediot's blather -- on anything -- like a STD.
Even so, I'd suggest had they wanted to hit the guy?
They probably could've, & would've.
Since neither of us knows for sure what's in their empty heads?
My theory is based -- solely -- on the fact no one's been murdered by these two miscreants, up to now.
It's not like they haven't had ample opportunity, either.
That this guy they shot at is still alive & well?
Only reinforces my feeling(s) about what these two are really all about; a pair of penny-anty losers who're now wayyyyyy over their heads & they know it.
I believe they succeeded accomplishing precisely what they intended by, "emptying two magazines of ammo into a guys van because he tried to stop them from burglarizing his son's house."
To put the fear of God into that citizen; so, they could amscray, post-haste.
...& diliberatley not kill him in the process.

I'm not sure whether they tried to actually kill him or not... but I do know that he was trying to block them from taking his stuff with his van... and then chased them down the road in his vehicle... People will do things they might not normally do when cornered... These guys are on the run... and they DON'T want to be caught... So the "fight or flight" kicks in...
I still don't think they harmed Alice... I really don't...
To: TankGurrrl
I have a good feeling about Alice as well.
To: TankGurrrl
I expect that the updates we get directly will be quicker and likely more accurate than what the news reports. They always seem to be a "day late and a dollar short."
Praying that things will move quickly and that Alice will be found TODAY!
To: TankGurrrl
Butterfiies in my stomach. Wonder why the 21 year old cut and run? This bothers me.........
Please God, let them find Alice.

I reeeeally believe that Bashem will help the police to find her!!!I realllly belive that too and sense a possible deal for less time coming his way if he cooperates. He probably bailed because kiddnapping was not to his liking and did not want to be involved. OK so i'm going to take it back they aren't entirely stupid, probably knew she wouldn't last in the cold and didn't want to get a murder rap hung on them.
To: BARLF
I'm hoping that Basham gives the authorities information about Alice...

*BUMP*

It's not unusual for two suspects to split up in order to NOT be the way the news is portraying them (together)...

I don't know who your direct link is, but FoxNews did a good job of breaking the capture of Basham this morning...I do find them better on breaking domestic news rather than foreign...and they have been giving regular updates since it first broke at 9:20 this morning...at least they're getting the word out...:)

What I am hoping is that Prairie Lady will get some direct word from the police and post that information. It may take awhile for it to be confirmed and reported.
To: alexandria
Yup!
I have had hope this whole time because of the statements from Mr. Hawkins, such as:
"I told him that they weren't mean to me. They never cursed me or hit me or anything like that. The youngest one took his jacket off to keep me warm. I hope and pray to God that she is tied up to a tree somewhere and they find her. They just said if I stayed calm and cool that they wouldn't (hurt) me."
To: sweetliberty
They will probably inform her family before letting the public know anything. I've been praying since Saturday. Hope we hear some GOOD news.

That's what I mean. That is why I would think we might hear something before the news.

ASHLAND, Ky. Police have arrested one of two Kentucky jail escapees who are suspects in the kidnapping of a South Carolina woman, authorities said Tuesday.
Branden L. Basham, 21, of Hopkins County, Ky., was taken into custody Sunday night after police say he tried to carjack two women in the parking lot of an Ashland mall.
Basham initially told police his name was Josh Leon Ritman, Capt. Robert Ratliff said Tuesday. On Monday night, fingerprints confirmed he was Basham.
"What little information he gave us just didn't add up on his personal history," Ratliff said.
On Sunday, a man eluded an officer after reports of an attempted carjacking and ran toward the Ohio River, Ratliff said. Police contained the area and during the night Basham ended up in the river. He surrendered after about an hour and was treated for hypothermia at a local hospital, Ratliff said.
Basham is being held at the Boyd County Detention Center without bond. He faces charges of attempted robbery, criminal attempt to commit murder on an officer and fleeing or eluding a police officer.
Authorities in South Carolina say Alice Louise Donovan of Galivants Ferry was abducted Thursday from a Wal-Mart parking lot in Conway. She remains missing. Police believe Basham and Chadrick Fulks are linked to the crime.
Basham and Fulks, also are suspected of abducting James Hawkins, 42, of Hanson, Ky., taking him 40 miles north to Indiana and leaving him bound to a tree, authorities said. Hawkins struggled for hours before freeing himself and summoning help.
Basham and the 25-year-old Fulks escaped Nov. 4 from the Hopkins County jail in western Kentucky. Basham was serving a five-year sentence for writing a bad check and Fulks was awaiting trial on robbery charges, authorities said.
The Ohio Highway Patrol said an armed suspect believed to be Fulks got away from troopers last night after a chase on U.S. 23 in north-Central Ohio.
Authorities said troopers saw a late model BMW with a West Virginia plate at a Marion, Ohio, rest stop around 10:30 last night. They said a check of the license plate showed the car was stolen.
The troopers tried to stop the car with road spikes but it kept going and officers lost sight of it.
