These two useless pieces of trash have all the answers, yet they have everyone at bay. It must be difficult for the police to keep from dragging the truth out of them. This is not the time of the year to voice unchristian thoughts about these two heartless criminals, but I sure can think them.

God bless Alice and Samantha.

Computer/modem problems - I haven't been able to post today. Just wanted to touch base and say I'm praying for Alice, Samantha, and their families. This will be a difficult holiday.

I had a dream about Alice last night...it isn't often that I dream of anyone in much detail that I do not know. Not sure if it waas a sign that her discovery is near or if it is my conscious way of telling me I'm not having enough faith. Praying harder, especially for those who are missing Alice the most...

Welcome beach! I have had the same thoughts about the internet as a tool in these cases. More than just websites.

I think Prairie Lady actually did send out her own Amber Alert and we have seen the results. :)

Just wanted to add my husband and I are still praying for Alice, Samantha and their families. I don't have to tell all of you how hard this is getting emotionally because I know you're all feeling the same way.

You guys are all very special and I hope you have nice Thanksgiving. Goodnight.:)

"Will you post the article that you sent me?"

Very glad to! I've got posting the article links down, but fonts, colors and pictures still elude me.

The article from the above link has information and quotes from Valleygal's connection in Phoenix:

Getting community involved early is crucial
By RODDIE BURRIS
Staff Writer

The faster a family can get the community involved in a search for a missing loved one, the better the chances of finding that person, activists say.

When people in the community put up posters, attend vigils, go on hunts, talk about the missing person around the water cooler and support the family -- it all makes a difference, say people who devote their lives to finding missing people.

Most of all, family and friends must tell police what they know about the missing person and what they've seen.

Little things can be a big help to police, the experts say.

"It could be something as simple as, 'I saw something in the .‘.‘. parking lot,'" said Jack Rinehart, who runs a missing-persons organization in Sumter. "It could seem insignificant, but it could be just the link that police need."

Police use "normal, run-of-the-mill things" to find people, said a former Phoenix police officer who directs a national center for missing adults in Arizona.

"Any piece of information could be something police could use," said Bob White, director of The Nation's Missing Children Organization and Center for Missing Adults. White retired after 26 years with the Phoenix police, including 10 years running that city's missing-persons department.

His center, established to help search for missing children, is one of the few national clearinghouses for missing adults.

In July, the U.S. Justice Department gave White's Phoenix group $5.6 million to add missing adults to its program. In 2001, 200,000 people 18 and older were reported missing, the FBI said.

Rinehart and his wife help families and police from South Carolina and around the world by posting photos of missing people on the Web.

Every day, they put photos and information on their Web site about missing children and adults.

They've been working with police to post photos of Candacy Sanders, 24, and Darcel Sanders who vanished Aug. 26 from Columbia.

But clearinghouses can only do so much, White and Rinehart say.

Sustained help from communities offers the best hope for the safe return of missing people, experts say.

"In the beginning, families have a lot of support, but it dries up quickly," said Kym Pasqualini, president of the Phoenix center. "No family is ever given a handbook on how to handle a missing loved one. You wake up daily with it. And you go to bed nightly with it."

But, Rinehart said, patience is just as important as vigilance. "It takes a lot of time to verify a missing persons case, especially an adult."

That's why he tells families to give police as much information as possible about the missing person. "Convince them you need their help."

Cases of missing adults often are difficult for police to handle, Pasqualini said. When police are deliberate, it may look to many families as though they're not doing enough, she said.

If a missing person is older than 18, police tend to wait longer before investigating than they would with missing children. Adults have the right to leave, activists for the missing note.

"You can't second-guess your law enforcement because you're not going to know everything they're doing and the media's not going to know everything they're doing," White said.

"These are extremely complex cases. Each case is different. Rarely do two show the same patterns."

Continued prayers for Alice, Samantha and their families and wishes for a nice Thanksgiving to you all.

Oh, that is eerie, isn't it? I wonder if anyone will be searching tomorrow. Somehow it just seems important that someone be out there. Maybe it's just a feeling that it would help the families know that their grief and anxiety is not forgotten.

My turkey is brining, the vegetables are ready, the pies are in a cool room and I am ready for tomorrow and my family. But----as you all feel ---there is this emptiness I feel for Alice, Samantha, and their families. The Lord is in charge and I have to cede to Him, but the injustice of it all really gets to me.

A wonderful Thanksgiving to all of you dear ones in this thread. May God be with Alice, Samantha, and their loved ones.

LORD Jesus, we ask that You comfort the families of Alice and Samantha. You know where they are and You know the outcome of all of this. We would ask that You would somehow be glorified in this situation. If they are still alive, please bring them back to their families. If they are not, then please let them be found for their families sake. We thank You that You are merciful, loving and forgiving and not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to a saving knowledge of You. And for that reason LORD, I ask that these two men would be brought to repentance by Your Holy Spirit and that they would honestly give all the information they have.

On this day of national Thanksgiving, I want to acknowledge and wholeheartedly give You all my thanks, praise and adoration, for You alone are worthy. You alone are God and Saviour. Blessed be Your Name and Your kingdom forever more. Thank You Father. Amen

Update from Prairie Lady on ThanksGiving evening:
http://www.timebomb2000.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=48272&perpage=50&pagenumber=19

"Mrs. Peavey, I am VERY glad to learn you are locking your car doors. Alice's abduction took place in the middle of the afternoon doing what millions of Americans do each and every day without giving a thought; going grocery shopping at Walmart. Lock your doors to your car no matter what time of the day or night.

Thankyou very much for your prayers today, and every day. We made Alice's favorite foods today. I had the honor of making the stuffing, she was partial to my stuffing. We had a lovely dinner, a quite day, and we mourned for Alice. It was not an easy day at all despite the fact that it was quiet and pleasant. Alice's and Barry's closest friends were here for dinner, several other's came by with deep fried turkeys. Only 7 of us here and we had 4 birds!

Thanks Saro and others for warm wishes and hugs. Your kindness and caring is welcomed and appreciated.

I can't comment on the news articles seen above. I'm not sure why they exist at all.

Wasn't it James Hawkins truck that was found at the walmart parking lot after alice was abducted? They had stole a vehicle from him so I'm not sure how that comes into play with the minivan. I may be mistaken since i haven't seen the walmart video but weren't both vehicles used to trap hers? I understand the videos were made public?

In any event, I've lost track of most of it because of mixed up news and false information, in some cases, just total confusion.

All I do know is that she is still missing and missed. While we are 'survivors' and we do the best we can to stand strong, we grieve. Deeply. Now that the shock is worn off, we still sorrow, fear and grieve. Some days are surreal, some tearfilled, others seem nearly normal except that Alice isn't here.

I plan to be leaving south carolina on saturday for atlanta where I will spend a few days with one of my sisters. Haven't spent time with her since 1997. On Dec. 4 I will return home barring any important news that might keep me here.

I don't know when the actual trial will begin, but since they are trying to find the best lawyers they can get for these kidnappers, and the lawyers are going to have to spend some time becoming familiar with the case, I expect it may be a few weeks before the trial begins at the very least. I don't know how full the Federal Dockets are. I do have an advocate I can consult with from the US Attorney's office for information and help.

In the mean time, I continue to stand in prayer with all of you for Alice's continued safety should she still be alive, and for her immediate return in any event.

Humbly and gratefully,
PL"
