Actor Jeffrey Jones Arrested for Alleged Sex Acts With a Minor
The Associated Press
Published: Nov 14, 2002
LOS ANGELES (AP) - Actor Jeffrey Jones, best known as the suspicious high school principal in "Ferris Bueller's Day Off," was arrested Thursday for allegedly having sex with a 17-year-old boy and possessing child pornography, authorities said. Jones, 56, surrendered and was freed on $20,000 bail, said Officer Jason Lee, a police spokesman. Arraignment was scheduled for Nov. 21.
Jones was charged with one count each of using a minor for sex acts and possession of child pornography, said District Attorney's spokeswoman Sandi Gibbons. She said the alleged victim was a 17-year-old boy.
Police began investigating Jones last November after a minor came forward and "alleged criminal acts of a sexual nature," Lee said.
Investigators subsequently searched Jones' home and seized "numerous items of evidence," Lee said. He did not elaborate.
Jones could not be reached for comment. There is no listing for him in the Los Angeles area and the Screen Actors Guild did not immediately respond to a request for his agent's number.
A widely recognized character actor, Jones played the music-loving Emperor Joseph II in "Amadeus," the mentalist Criswell in "Ed Wood" and the father in "Beetlejuice."

This guy was associated with Pee Wee Herman..when police went into Herman's house and found child porn.. I believe that Jones and Herman exchanged porn photos. Too bizarre.

I don't know how, but I never heard Jones's name mentioned in the Pee Wee incident. You are right, this is bizarre. That makes Pee Wee, Paula Poundstone, and now Jones. Are there any others who have been caught up with on this kind of charge, of late?

Well that's easy enough. Al Pacino played in the Godfather trilogy with Robert De Niro who played 'Father Bobby' in Sleepers with Kevin Bacon.

Too bad the Puritan setting of that movie didn't rub off on his morals......
I also watched Dr. D. 2. It was rather raunchy and lame at times, but I am so serious most of the time I just need some slap-stick comedy to relax occasionally.
In any case, I hope the guy gets sent to prison for a long time....

I'm confused here, isn't 17 over the age of consent in most states?
