Good. A San Francisco Democrat with her voting record will be easily discredited and will likely turn off the more moderate Democrats. Considering a recent CNN/Gallup poll reflected that 60 odd percent of the Democrat voting public think the Democrats are too liberal, this is death to the Democratics.

Something's missing here. It doesn't add up.

The Dems, fully controlled by pollsters, know that many of their own think that they've gone to far to the Left and as a result they got hammered in a mid-term election. But Pelosi? You just can't go any farther to the Left than that.

I think Hitlary! is in play for '04. If Pelosi provides the socialist lightening rod, it will make Hitlary! come off as the more sensible, "moderate" Dem.

Maybe I'm grasping at straws here, but something in the water just doesn't compute as Prince used to say.
