[history]
The concession speech -- the biggest crock in politics.
Take the one delivered by Bill McBride Tuesday evening, for example.
Having just been trounced by a down-and-dirty Republican campaign, McBride congratulated Jeb Bush on his win, said Florida was one big family and Bush had been chosen as the family's head, and made a pitch for consensus.

Rush is right. Liberals are at their most entertaining when they are out of power.

no disrespect intended I'm sure, but like Jimmy Carter winning the Peace Prize, nice guys just don't get it, even when they finish first!
google.com led me to this Thread's article thru...
http://www.whoseflorida.com/not_not_jebs_florida.htm
and since I seldom watch local network TV I missed all those ads, but one thing I do remember hearing was when McBride said he was an orange-picker from Central Florida. I'm from Central Florida and I know orange-picking and he's NO orange-picker, just ask my Uncle Harry...rto

No matter how you spin it, nobody is going to win an election in Florida by promising to raise taxes, even if it is for the
chilrunMcBride sold his soul to the teachers unions (literally) and had to back the class size initiative.
15 to 20 billion later, it's a losing issue.

Just ask McBrideNo, just ask Katherine Harris if the demo's are nice people.
What a stupid article.

There is so much crap written about this election that I just want to scream. Folks that write about politics just keep getting dumber and dumber on average. Soon, there will be as dumb as your average public school teacher, many of whom are barely literate.

From the Clintons to the Gores, they wanted Jeb Bush's head.
Sorry guys, you missed big-time. McBride did sweat effectively on camera though.
2004 should be a real rat-fight!

The Clintons play a game of intimidation with opposing politicians. It is their trademark to go after specific people as payback. They think it will make others afraid of them.
May they fall into their own pit, being impaled by their own actions. And may they dissappear forever into the slimy hole they crawled out of. They have forever poisioned the well of Civil discourse.

Let's see, the Florida Times-Union. The endorser of one of the largest criminal enterprises in our nation's history, the Klintoon-Algore campaigns. The people whose editorial pages accused the Bushies of taking food off of the table of the elderly. Yeah, they are a typical good judge of character. Maybe they should have checked out McLawyer's background like the voters did before opening their yapper. Oops, I forgot, he's a demorat. They never can do anything wrong.

so this author thinks mcboob lost because the repubs were to mean? I thought the dnc talking points this week were repubs rode gwb's popularity (even though their posistion on 11-3-02 according to mcawful bush didnt have coattails). Whats next weeks talinkg points? let me guess dems lost because of space aliens abducting the dems base.

This is their answer to everything. Attack, attack, attack. They can't run on the issues.

Can the author of this piece spell S-O-R-E L-O-S-E-R?
This article was rich. LOL!

McBride might still have lost, but he wouldn't have lost by such a large margin.>>>>
A loser is still a loser. You can't paint or define this any different.

Lemme get this straight? Terry McAwful put all his money and energy into attacking Jeb, out of pettiness, and this guy is crying that Jeb's campaign was unfair? And on top of that, he didn't mention that the guy who headed McBride's campaign finances - who got all of that money from McAwful - was McAwful's father-in-law.
Can you spell SCUM?

The Clintons will even kill their own. Dems never give discourse. They HATE BUSH!
Stand fast and be ready, only a slim vote saves us in 2004. IMHO.

The chuckle-head on that link said a lot of silly stuff. One thing though bears a passing thought: "
I have no doubt that the Homeland Security bill will be passed -- by any means necessary -- during the lame duck session of Congress which commences on Nov. 12. At that moment the government will enshrine a $37 billion bureaucracy that will have no other mission -- for the rest of its life -- than to find and destroy enemies of the state. For that reason alone -- a law of bureaucratic existence -- the list of enemies of the Homeland is compelled to forever grow as the definition of "enemies" is revised, and new evidence is found to justify their destruction. How else does a bureaucracy justify bigger budgets?"
Someday, God forbid a long time from now, the dems will again have the presidency - and control of the HSA. Imagine what Hillary President for Life Clinton could do with that. I wonder if garlic and a crucifix would work on her.

Geez - there is NO way McAwful ran a cleaner campaign than Jeb did. These ramblings sound more like DU than a bona fide newspaper or have things deteriorated that much?
