I took it another way. I think the guy(who clearly can't write his way out of a wet paper bag with a sharpened quill) is calling for a little more gumption and get-up-and-go from his troops.
To me, it is more like "Get in the Game, Boys," than "Take our Ball and Go Home."
Call me naive, but I think he's making a case for "Stop complaining and blaming everything on whites, and maybe try getting off your butt and being self-sufficient."
