The Constitution states that you must have been born in the US in order to be president, but it doesn't say you can't be president if you were born in Canada. I'm sure the New Jersey Democrat attorneys will be looking into this loophole.

What is truly hilarious, is that they would choose Nancy Pelosi, after what happened on Tuesday. BWAHAHAHAHA!! Nicely put, that's my take as well. Yep, and it's the consensus on three rabid-Dem websites I've been monitoring of late - the Dems failed because they weren't radical enough and because they weren't nasty enough. Swing left, folks! is BtD's brotherly advice. Moderates like Algore aren't going to cut it, what you need is an electoral juggernaut like you've had in the past...McGovern and McCarthy come to mind...yeah..."clean for Gene" - uh, "antsy for Nancy" sure gets those old corpuscles pumping. Throw Angela Davis in for a VP candidate and you've got a real winning ticket...

That Fleetwood Mac song that the Dems used in 1992 has the refrain "Yesterday's Gone, Yesterday's Gone."
Yes, it most certainly is! The 1992 Clinton victory is now just a bad memory, up there with the ball going through Bill Buckner's legs in 1986.
We can laugh about it now.

So, when Democrat chums tell me they'd have done better if they'd openly opposed the war and called for repeal of the tax cut, I try to nod in agreement without openly guffawing ... I propose that we retitle the 4th movement of Beethoven's 9th from "O, Freude" to
O Schadenfreude!

Remember this thing about a year ago -- it was in the news -- about some crazy guys crashing airplanes into buildings?
You do remember? Well, obviously, the Democrats don't, and that's why they lost last Tuesday. They were still talking about hanging chads and prescription drugs, while a radical-islamic sniper was gunning down gas station customers a few miles from the Capitol steps.
Now President Bush will be able to get his tax cuts through Congress, the economy will be booming in 2004, and chances are Hitlery will lose in 2006 and divorce Bill in 2007. Nothing but good times ahead . . . well, we can dream.

I like Mark, but he should be more discriminating about his chums. Sound like he gets some of his best material from them. Besides, what's the old saying about keeping your enemies closer.

Funny as heck. Thanks for the article.

You would worry about me, if I wasn't! ;-)

Shouldn't those two be on a term life insurance commercial?

I'm with you - I cannot understand how on earth the dems think Nancy is the right person to be their leader.
And ... I was watching Ford; even though I don't agree with his politics, I do like his attitude, and his insight into where the party should be going, and why Nancy is not the right direction.
However, Nancy's greed for power matches only Hitlery. When Nancy lines up with Hitlery, it will be a wonderful thing for the GOP in CA. Because Nancy is a member of the California Democrat Socialist Party, I'm hoping it will spell doom for the dems in CA.

I think that most of the Clinton Part is in denial. They just know in their minds that the American public wants socialism and for everyone to be on the same level. While there are a lot (too many) people who want government in their lives, they don't want it in their lives to that extent. Pelosi is Hillary-Lite, so far. She has the look of someone, like Hillary, who is a screeching shrew.

In the midst of a great historical drama, they're still doing vaudevillian knockabout. I prefer to think we're in the midst of a great hysterical drama.....you just never know what those "smart, old" Rats will think of doing next!

As to whom Democrats should turn to for a top-notch presidential candidate with a fresh face, I say you can't do better than Jim Jeffords, the celebrated Vermont Dairy Queen with the soft-serve principles."Vermont Dairy Queen." Priceless.
