I had the pleasure of participating in the Chicago Welcome Home Parade in 1986. It's one of the fonder memories in my life.

I'm happy to hear you had the pleasure and honor of participating in the Welcome Home Parade. I can understand it being a very fond memory, one that will stay with you always.

It just saddens me that our Viet Nam vets weren't given these honors sooner. It caused a lot of unnecessary turmoil in their lives.
