Libertarians are just RINOs without the R. Fiscally responsible to a T, yet socially to the left of Democrats. Usually have nothing to add except to suck votes away from valid conservatives. Perhaps when GW does some real cutting the Liberalterian Party can throw there votes our way. Never mind they are sooooooo superior to us. Smug to a fault. They get 3-5% of our votes and then tell everyone what to do.

Depends on what you define as social conservative. The drug war was started by liberals (WW, FDR started; Bill Clinton arrested more people than any other president for drugs). Not all libertarians are pro choice, and anti-border control (including me). As for things like prostitution, that is so way down on the list of things to accomplish I really don't care as long as we aren't spending a fortune on policemen trying to regulate it. Basically the short of it is, as long as you aren't spending a fortune and ignoring the 10th amendment, libertarians would MUCH rather focus on economics.

The real deal is that the demos and pubbies are equealy socialististic. They only differ in policy preferences. Dems dig direct payments ala entitlement programs. Pubs like indirect payments through tax cuts and business subsidies. The later reaps large campaign contributions while the former buys votes somewhat more effectivly.

Philisophical Libertarians want the USG to stop engauging in both activities while allowing people to be individually sovergin, self-responsible, and self governing.

ROFLMAO! Just WHEN will Bubba-2 be doing this? Will it be after he secures funding for his new Office of Reich Security? It will surely be after he increases the size and budget of the Dept of Education,hires MORE feral gooberment union workers,promises instant citizenship to illegal aliens if they pay $1,000,and spends BILLIONS buying new houses for minorities. Not to mention after he pays for his "keep my poll numbers up" war with Iraq.
