I agree with you about this being planned for a loooong time ...... perhaps since November of 2000.

The mention in this article of the Cincinnati speech ..... the one that the networks chose not to carry .... made a little light go off in my head. In a very subtle way the President made reference to that yesterday at this press conference .....

In my Cincinnati speech, I reminded the American people, a true threat facing our country is that an al Qaeda-type network trained and armed by Saddam could attack America and leave not one fingerprint. That is a threat. And we're going to deal with it.

Was he perhaps sending a little message to the media that they are not properly informing the American people of things they need to know?

I thought the exact same thing yesterday, when he mentioned the Cincinatti speech. People were probably scratching their heads, what speech??? Oh, my fellow Americans, that was the speech that the networks chose not to show you. The people at the baseball game saw it, as Fox stations chose to delay the game in order to keep their fellow citizens informed. But the big 3 thought that the Bachelor or Survivor was more important than to hear the President. Sheeessssshhhh

Fred Barnes said something like this tonight on the roundtable portion of Brit Hume's show ---" I wonder how many reporters have actually listened to what the President has been saying in his speeches during the past few weeks."

This is true. So many reporters 'feel' (not think) that they have no need to watch or listen to the President COMMUNICATE! They are the ones out of the loop, wondering why the elections went so decisively for the GOP!
