I agree with you about this being planned for a loooong time ...... perhaps since November of 2000.
The mention in this article of the Cincinnati speech ..... the one that the networks chose not to carry .... made a little light go off in my head. In a very subtle way the President made reference to that yesterday at this press conference .....
In my Cincinnati speech, I reminded the American people, a true threat facing our country is that an al Qaeda-type network trained and armed by Saddam could attack America and leave not one fingerprint. That is a threat. And we're going to deal with it.
Was he perhaps sending a little message to the media that they are not properly informing the American people of things they need to know?

EXACTLY! Words cannot express my admiration for our President, George W. Bush. I thought I could never again feel the way I felt about Ronald Reagan. I do, and then some.

I thought the exact same thing yesterday, when he mentioned the Cincinatti speech. People were probably scratching their heads, what speech??? Oh, my fellow Americans, that was the speech that the networks chose not to show you. The people at the baseball game saw it, as Fox stations chose to delay the game in order to keep their fellow citizens informed. But the big 3 thought that the Bachelor or Survivor was more important than to hear the President. Sheeessssshhhh

Fred Barnes said something like this tonight on the roundtable portion of Brit Hume's show ---" I wonder how many reporters have actually listened to what the President has been saying in his speeches during the past few weeks."
This is true. So many reporters 'feel' (not think) that they have no need to watch or listen to the President COMMUNICATE! They are the ones out of the loop, wondering why the elections went so decisively for the GOP!

The funny thing about it is, "Don't Mess With Texas"
was a slogan cooked up during a clean up Texas highways program.
It was to get people to quit throwing out trash from car windows.
Now we are throwing Democrat trash out of Government!

I agree completely

Gosh! What you wrote about President Bush has me wiping tears from my cheeks. It really struck me in the heart. Thank you so much. I am really emotional all of a sudden.

An excellent post!

Pres. Bush and his people had no choice but to campaign for people who would put the security and prosperity of the people of this nation ahead of all else. They had been dealing with obstructionists who would not, what other choice did they have if they cared for the nation that is the beacon of hope of Freedom and Liberty for all mankind?
