* means NRA endorsment. Grade is the NRA grade.
Alabama:
*(D) Siegelman 674,052 A+
(R) Riley 670,913 A
(L) Sophocleus 23,242
Oregon:
(D) Kulongoski 493,385 C+
(R) Mannix 490,745 A
(L) Cox 47,444
Wisconsin:
(D) Doyle 800,958 F
*(R) McCallum 732,781 A
(L) Thompson 185,085
Wyoming:
(D) Freudenthal 89,407 A-
*(R) Bebout 85,556 A+
(L) Dawson 3,800
Not to mention that Thune will probably lose South Dakota Senate seat by a smaller margin that the Libertarian in that race got...
(D) Johnson 167,481 C+
*(R) Thune 166,954 A
(L) Evans 3,071
So basically Libertarians brought 2 anti-gun governors, and possibly kept Daschle's clone in power. My question is why Libertarians run against good pro-gun candidates? I realize that there are other issues besides guns. Meanwhile people of Wisconsin have to wait another 4 years for gun licenses...
Say bye bye to welfare reform.
Seems that this issue was passed with little problem during this dem led assembly you use as a scape goat.
Say bye bye to school choice.
Again, who did T.Thompson have to work thru on this issue to get it passed?
Say bye bye to owning ammunition.
You throw a curve here, is Doyle going to ban the sale of ammo in the state of WI? This is news to me.
Say bye bye to concealed carry legislation
How do you say goodbye to something that does not exist? The GOP had a long power ride in the state of WI and your issue was constantly shoved aside. Wake up already.
I find it interesting you blame the demos and Ed Thompson for the GOP and T.Thompson foisting a complete loser platform, and candidate on the voters.Ed Thompson did not lose the election for McCallum; McCallum and the GOP did that all themselves.
Your assertion. Can't back it up?
I am a libertarian, if I own a business and I don't like your haircut or your girlfriend, I should not be forced to give you a job. I should be able to hire or fire whom I want. If I don't want you to smoke or drink off the job in your own home, I should be able to fire you.
If I require you to smoke at least one cigarette in front of me, and won't, then I can fire you. I don't like like you, you are fired. It is my company, why should Government force me to pay you?
You are too old/young? I should not be forced to do anything I don't want to with my business. It is mine.
'Corse I can just shut down, and go to another country.
I guess it comes down to the definition of conservative.
Oh, pay us to pick up road kill from the middle of the road.
"I will take my meds on schedule."
"I will take my meds on schedule."
"I WILL take my meds on schedule."
I agreewith that. My main problem with the WOD is the 4th amendment thing.
I just do beer, cigarettes, coffee and aspirin.
I really don't care what others ingest.I don't drive drunk. If I do I would expect to be in a lot of trouble.
And with a single line-item veto, funding for W2 will disappear.
Again, who did T.Thompson have to work thru on this issue to get it passed?
Again, with a single line-item veto, funding for school choice will disappear. Doyle, more than any politician in the state, is owned by the teacher's union.
You throw a curve here, is Doyle going to ban the sale of ammo in the state of WI? This is news to me.
Doyle proposed verbiage for, and backed, anti-terrorism legislation that would have classified all primers as explosives, thus making the posession of primers a felony, as well as ammunition containing primers, for anyone not in posession of an explosives permit.
How do you say goodbye to something that does not exist?
Well, it certainly won't exist for the next four years, that's for sure. We'd managed to get concealed carry legislation passed by the legislature, we'd managed to get McCallum's assurance he'd sign it once it was on his desk, but it was stopped cold in the Democrat controlled Senate - a Senate which is now in Republican hands. Unfortunately, due to Libertarians, McCallum is no longer in office - an anti-gun Democrat is.
I'm still waiting for the Libertarians here to tell me what great extra-constitutional sin McCallum committed to justify getting a Democrat elected Governor. I've answered your questions, now answer mine.
I think the Prez has made it clear that the plan is to return to the better ways of doing business: make tax cuts permanent, cut capital gains, stop double taxing gains, reduce regs on business, etc.
Gad, I'm wasting my time with folks who don't have ears to hear.....
Best I remember, the only ones that could vote was the tax paying land owners.
No I did vote for a R, I think. I did vote for Charles Stenholm. He is a D but he is more R than they are.
After that I voted for libertarians. I left it blank when there was only a D or a R.
More bad news.
Homeland security, permanent tax cuts, and jobs.
Silly, carnot, you know that's not the way Rs operate on the economy.
I ain't Silly. He ain't allowed here.
So what jobs were you talking about?
Happy?
Oh, you mean the Republican-controlled state senate and assembly are going to pass all that?
