Perhaps the Democrats should catch up on their Blackadder to get ideas about what to do with Daschle:

Melchett: Now, Field Marshal Haig has formulated a brilliant new tactical plan to ensure final victory in the field. [they gather around a model of the battlefield]

Blackadder: Now, would this brilliant plan involve us climbing out of our trenches and walking slowly towards the enemy sir?

Darling: How can you possibly know that Blackadder? It's classified information.

Blackadder: It's the same plan that we used last time, and the seventeen times before that.

Melchett: E-E-Exactly! And that is what so brilliant about it! We will catch the watchful Hun totally off guard! Doing precisely what we have done eighteen times before is exactly the last thing they'll expect us to do this time! There is however one small problem.

Blackadder: That everyone always gets slaughtered the first ten seconds.

Melchett: That's right! And Field Marshal Haig is worried that this may be depressing the men a tadge. So, he's looking to find a way to cheer them up.

Blackadder: Well, his resignation and suicide would seem the obvious solution.

Regards, Ivan

He should go on Larry King live with MacAwful and tell Larry that "after much consideration we have concluded we did not do as well as we could have because we weren't liberal enough". Larry can nod his head and the dems can march off to extinction.

AW - COME ON, GUYS! I'm only one of 2 who hit "Run for Senate".

I think resigning is too dignified. I want him BEAT, BEAT, BEAT in an election to try and keep his job. Such as he need to be humiliated publicly in order for others to learn. (Of course, Algore didn't learn much, did he.....? Perhaps I should change my vote.)

He is still the political boss of SD when it comes to Senate race, nothing else, but Senate races. ND and SD people insist only on liberal Democrat senators, all in lockstep with Daschle. That seems a permanent feature of the landscape, liberal senators from the Dakotas.

Too bad they didn't have a "stick a red-hot poker up his butt and jab a barbeque fork in his eye" option on the vote.

No doubt, the best thing for the country is if he stays as a DemonRat leader.
