Hey, I didn't even realize you are from NM. What was the deal with that amendment anyway? Was it just a benign alteration or was it more sinister?

By the way, I had a friend who had a NM drivers' license. He said he was always getting harrassed by people who thought New Mexico was not a part of the US (he is Caucasian, by the way).

I think there was something more devious involved. Realize that we have been staddled with a Demorat State House and Senate for the last 70 years.

On the ballot the proposed ammendment only said "to allow certain individuals the right to vote."

There was no clarification on the ballot as to who these "individuals" were.

On the other topic. Our Chamber of Commerce here in Alb. gets thousands of calls every year by people asking questions like. "Do I need to bring my passport?" and "What is the exchange rate?" Tell your friend to do what I do. I bring my Passport when I'm traveling out of state.

Once upon a time, I couldn't believe people would think that. Then I moved to New Mexico. They were right. I came back to America as soon as I could.
