They say as the western precinct tally unfolds they should move into the lead for good
Carl Cameron also had sources in the Allard camp in CO Senate race that were giddy yesterday when no one else was

Yes. Carl Cameron explained how South Dakota is a state that straddles 2 different time zones, so the precincts in the western part of the state closed an hour later than the eastern part of the state. The precincts in the western part of the state, (which have not been counted yet) are heavily Republican, and the Thune campaign is expecting to surge forward in the next hour or 2.

I have yet to see good news about Thune...please post your sources.

I'm watching the local Sioux Falls station and the Thune folks are very upbeat. Lot's of votes to come in from the West River region (Mtn Time) This is the strong republican part of the state. Reservation turnount not enough for dems . . .
People are leaving the dem headquarters . . . their whipped.

Just go to the South Dakota election results page and watch the changes as the west-river precincts come in. Johnson was up 4500 votes a bit ago. Now it's only 2500. Pennington County alone should give Thune the votes he needs to catch up, and the rest of west-river SD should give Thune a slim victory.

We're kinda lonely in Iowa, too, Mama, but, like you, still very, very happy (and relieved) for the rest of the U.S.

Ehrlich wins in Maryland. I'm a happy camper. And I don't even live in Maryland. I live in PA, where Rendell was just elected governor. But, living 4 miles from the MD border, I'm ecstatic about Ehrlich's win.
