Never doubt what a few (tens of) thousand late absentee ballots and a compliant MN Supreme Court can cook up.

. He must see Jefford's problem now

Jefford's goint to wander back home now that the Republicans have won the Senate. That's why he didn't switch to the Democrat party. I can't wait to hear his speech.

I did not see it that way. The ballot number is placed in a book that has your name in it. The book is only used to discover problems. I have no qualms about it. It has been done this way for a hundred years and no case that I know of has ever been brought against it for any reason.

I question the reason for changing the procedure. I smell a rat.

I saw a news report that investigated why SD went for Bush but strongly supports Daschle. It all came down to having people from such a small poor state in power in both political camps so that they can get federal money.

Just like West "Robert C. Byrd" Virginia.

And now Jeffords faces a GOP governor and GOP House in Vermont... not sure about the VT senate. He'll be lucky if Leahy lets him shine his shoes!

Mn. is either trying to cheat or waiting for Mondale to get his beauty sleep. SD, something funny going on there. They are already in BIG trouble for voter registration fraud. Dashell best be careful lest he winds up with the Torch. :)

Do these numbers mean that we are going to be OK? Or is it too soon to tell.

Do you know what the good news is about these recent results...at least one of the Write-ins actually got a vote...just 1, but it's better than 0

Ever heard of Bruce Wayne? Not the batman guy, the professor of politics at Berkley. He was on radio here this morning (Ireland) predicting that more republicans will defect to the dims. He sounded real pi$$ed off, hee, hee!

If I were a betting man, I would say we swept it. The only state we lost was Arkansas and the Dems could have fought that one over the "early closing". Pesky rule of law again.

Thanks for marking them. It is late/early.:) When they drag it out like this, something funny is going on. I don't like it.

I guess I'm naive; that hadn't occurred to me at all. I was thinking the pubs wouldn't want to impede their own president's agenda, even if they couldn't stand up to Slick at the height of his popularity.

Do you think their recalcitrance during impeachment was motivated more by the herd mentality or by true believerism?

Right now, there are still 386,633 extra Senate ballots to count on top of the ballots still uncounted throughout the state...no updates out of Minneapolis for hand counting...so I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't some hanky-panky going on with those ballots

My prediction is that we will win MN after a week of lawsuits. SD will either be a recount/skweeker or it will end up being a big voter fraud after Johnson pulls it out. Somehow the last minute returns from Indian Reservations looks suspicious.
