A KODAK MOMENT FOR "W" (a goodie)

Posted on 11/05/2002 12:04:41 PM PST by Dallas

President Bush (news - web sites) reacts to 4-year-old Sarah Hobbs, with dad Jason Hobbs watching, who asked him if he was coming to her birthday party, just after he voted at the Crawford Fire Department near his ranch in Crawford, Texas, Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2002. Bush replied that his invitation must have been delayed in the mail. (AP Photo/J. Scott Applewhite

I wish I could see a tape of this entire event. It is one of those pictures that makes me want to hear the rest of the story because I am sure it would make me even prouder of my President.

If you notice Mr. President is standing alone with the child in the first picture and then The First Lady joins the group.

I wonder if he was standing there alone while she finished voting and when she came out he yelled, "Honey come and meet this little gal?"

He didn't have to take any time. He could have just shaken her hand and walked away.

Now if it had been Klintoon, he would have taken the photo op, just ran off and left Hitlery to find her own. LOL

(Or Klintoon would have asked the dad at what age the girl was going to be allowed to start dating!)

Ain't it sumthin to be proud of your president?

In less than two years this man has repaired eight years of damage to the office. Makes you believe again, don't it?

For all you non-Texans, that's a Texas voter registration card he's holding in his hand. Now I fold mine up and put it in my billfold as soon as it arrives, but some people put theirs "up" and then have to scramble around to find it when they go to vote. My wife's looks just like his, all crisp and new looking, mine looks like it's been around the block a few times, which it has.
