Just voted in Beautiful Bayonne NJ, straight Republican ticket, except for the County Executive. But at least that vote counts as a strike against the Cunningham Machine - that he wishes he had. I was the only person there, but it is usually like that, with one person just leaving and one coming in just behind me.

Along with about 94,000 others in Bernalillo County New Mexico, I took advantage of early voting on brand new touch screen voting machines. We had the longest ballot in New Mexico history, with 84 (if I remember correctly) items on it, to include judicial retention (throw the bums out!), bond issues (far too much spending goin' on), and a few Constitutional amendments (a Cesar Chavez holiday?).

However, the easiest part of the process was pushing that straight Republican ticket button.

I had surgery last week so my wife and I got absentee ballots prior to that.

Voted for the VT Rep. ticket.

Absentee ballots are ABSOLUTELY the way to go....no waiting in lines, no last minute propaganda at the voting place, vote at home and mail or send it back.

We voted early,too, here in West Texas.......straight Republican ticket !! I had a call from President George W. Bush yesterday to encourage me to get out and vote......I know is was a recording, but I was thrilled to hear his voice on my phone....May GOD BLESS OUR PRESIDENT AND OUR NATION!!
