My husband and I went to vote around 7:30 here in southern IN (greater Louisville, KY) area. There were only about 3 other people in line ahead of us.
Typically - there are folks outside with signs, etc. - didn't see a soul doing that this year.
Of course - I (my husband, too) voted for Sodrell (R)--IN-9 - a Democratic area (has voted for a Dem for Congress the last 30+ years. I also "filled in the arrow" for other local races - Republican, of course!!!
It always gives me such a great feeling after I vote and walk out of the voting place. It really is such a wonderful thing to be able to vote!!!
One moe thing - Indiana's polls close at 6:00 PM - I believe I heard on one of the cable news shows a couple of days ago that Indiana would be the place to watch - since it is one of the first states to close its polls!!!

I voted straight Republican almost two weeks ago in early voting. I stood in line for a bit and everyone around me was very vocally Republican. That wasn't too surprising, because early and absentee voting in Texas tends to lean Republican.
I'm predicting that Rick Perry will remain governor and that John Cornyn be Texas Senator.

I'm in Kentucky too - voted before I came in to work this morning. I voted for Ann Northup and Mitch McConnell and straight Republican everywhere else! The polling place where I vote was VERY busy this morning when I was there around 8 am. I'm excited, but nervous. I hope the Republicans do well in all the races! It will be hard to concentrate on work at the office today :)

oops - wanted to add - that this is the very first time that our oldest son is of age to vote. It was SO COOL to see his name in the book that we have to sign befre we receive our ballot.
Of course - he is away at college - but he DID send in his absentee ballot last week - and, according to what he TOLD us - he voted Republican, too!!!! :))

I just heard on local Louisville radio (I live in southern IN, though) that Secretary of State J. Brown predicted about 40 - 45 % turnout today. With the rain, however, I wonder if that is a bit high?
Louisville - however, has an awful lot of items on its ballots this year - with the new metro council, etc.
Sure hoping here for a Northup win over across the river!!! :))

Just got voting here in deepest, darkest, Democratland: Broward County, Florida.
Jeb Bush for Governor. Had my chance to vote for some nonentity against Alcee Hastings. Voted for Darla Carter, an insurgent campaigner running for the at-large seat on the Broward School Board. Her opponent is a machine politician, Paul Douglas Eichner.
Voted against retention of both Supreme Court Justices from the Clown Car Court.
Voted against
The Save the Pigs Amendment
Both Class Size Amendments
The Smoking Nazi Amendment
Jeb kicks ass today, folks. Like I said, Jeb by five or six.
Be Seeing You,
Chris

From someone who spent my first 30 years in CT, good to see Johnny Boy is still going strong in CT over that dreadful slug Curry; I remember JRs first election in '84 in the Reagan landslide.
Here in Charlotte NC, I voted straight with the elephant. Decent turnout, I had to wait about 20 min.

May you be rewarded for all the hard work and diligence you put into Jeb's re-election efforts!

Mr. Adler and I voted shortly after 7:00 this morning in our small town in Iowa. The polling place was all ready, and people had already voted before us. The ladies who run it always have everything well organized. I voted the straight Republican ticket (and I THINK Mr. Adler did, as well). Early business was brisk at the polling place, but almost no waiting.
I prayed hard yesterday for a Republican surprise in as many races as possible, and I will be praying whenever I get the chance, today.
