One thing they said was, 'Don't you know people are dying and we're just trying to do our job? Since their is no portion of their admitted job that could not be done perfectly well under the gaze of the combined audiences of the Super Bowl, the first moon landing, and the final episode of M*A*S*H*, they've just admitted to having a hidden agenda.

There are plenty of portions of their job which cannot be publicized don't be idiotic. Remember when the FBI wouldn't even tell Clinton about the investigation of the RATS campaign contributions from China.
As for the unwillingness to allow taping some point to as indication of Evil intent. Would those believing they should allow this be believers in the Rodney King incident as shown on the mainstream media night after night?
Police routinely break laws that is not an issue. The only issue is which ones are truly sacrosanct. As the cop said to another poster they had to stop the killing. Innocent people are some times even killed by accident by conduct which would be criminal if done outside of fighting crime. Cops around here stood outside refusing to breakdown a door while a PoS was raping a girl. Who with an I.Q. over 70 would support that decision?
