I read that Dallas accounts for 40% of votes state wide. Makes me wonder what percent Houston accounts for. The Democrats were excited over this turn of events for Kirk in Dallas. I want to yank that joy from them in the worst way and will do everything in my little power to do that very thing.

If we cannot give Republicans a solid, unquestionable win, we can count on the Texas elections being tied up in court by the demoncrats for months. We don't want to go there so all you lurker's out there, get to the polls.

This election in my home-state of Texas is very strange this year. There are so many people that voted for Bush that are going to vote for Sanchez or Kirk. I have photograph of a large group from Tyler at the Inaugural Ball in DC, and there are a handful of people in there that I know are voting for Sanchez. Luckily that race isn't tight. But as for Kirk, he's popular in Dallas. Dallas is a huge voting block and tends to swing democrat b/c of the racial makeup.

I like Cornyn, and I voted for him, BUT, he's not the most charismatic person in the world. Back last Spring when he kicked off his campaign, I actually dozed off during his speech in Tyler. He's very smart, and very qualified for this position, but Kirk is liked by a lot of big money folks in Dallas.

That being said, I think Cornyn will pull this off, but it will be a lot closer than the Perry/Sanchez race.

You read wrong. Dallas and Houston combine for 40 % of Texas votes.
