President Bush and First Lady Laura Bush ended their campaign trail today in Texas after visiting Missouri and Arkansas. The first couple will cast their votes tomorrow- their 25th anniversary- in Crawford. And today, birthday gal Laura was treated to rounds of 'Happy Birthday to You' at campaign stops. Nope, I kept myself out of the hoosegow- can you believe it!! You are so sweet- thanks so much. Glad you liked the report. You know, seeing the President was only half the fun. The other half was knowing I'd have you wonderful people to share it with!

I wish I could have gone to the Olympics when they were here. He came to the Olympics, I know, and opened them. I do remember some of us where I work; got a thrill when one of his SS agents came into our fast food store. Of course, it was a few days or week before he came himself.
Our manager came in to the back kitchen and said that a man came in to order lunch. He got to talking to him, and he said he was here for the Olympics. I don't know what was said, but my manager had him give his autograph. Then came and showed it to me and another worker. He said by looking at the signature, that the person was from Washington DC, and worked for the SS and the Pres., Vice Pres. Of course we also got a bunch of the autographs from many of the athletes and guests staying in the near-by hotels.
That was really an exciting time! It was also exciting at the end when Mr. Cheney came! It was also exciting with all the foreign people in the city, although most of the action was in Salt Lake City, and into the surrounding mountain resorts.
