>>>>I feel sorry for him, and more for his poor wife.<<<<
I do not feel sorry for the sick JDL terrorist. Personally, I prefer to be on the side of victims (or potential victims) of terrorism.
We must all stand on the side of terror victims, whether they are Israelis in Tel Aviv, or Americans in the US.
All terrorists, whether Muslim, Hindu, Christian or Jewish, are scum.

How can he be an Islamist? You mean, how can he be something else than you thought? Very easily.

I got the goods to prove it beyond a shadow of doubt to myself. So does every tinfoil-chapeau-wearing fruitcake out there, no matter what theory they're pushing. I'm asking if you've got some serious evidence.
And: no orthodox Jew, like Rubin was known to be, would ever commit suicide.
Assuming he was sane and in full control of his faculties. Given his demeanor and rhetoric (I live out here in California, I've heard him on the radio a few times), that is not axiomatic.

It was founded in 1968 by Meir Kahane Gun downed in the U.S. in 1990 by an Islamofascist Egyptian, who was acquitted of the crime on a technicality, but later convicted in relation to the World Trade Center bombing! Kahane's son and his wife also murdered by Arab Islamic terrorists in Israel. The Islamic enemy showed its face in 1990 with Kahane as the Jihad can't tolerate outspoken Jews and Christians (witness the Iranian mullah's Fatwa recently against three prominent evangelical ministers).

PC did not exist in the 1980s? Are you kidding?
PC has existed in this country since the late 1950s. In that decade, it became politically-incorrect to note that some so-called "liberals" (e.g. Alger Hiss), favored the Soviet side during the Cold War. Facts did not matter in the debate. To simply state the obvious, came to be regarded as "McCarthyism".

That's just your wild guess. PC did not exist during Irv's heyday. Were you even around back then?Yes, I was. Anyone who could spell "Robert J. Mathews" correctly got the "diesel treatment."

Assuming he was sane and in full control of his faculties. This is from another news-story. Does it look like a suicide to you?
Rubin used a razor to slash his neck and throat and then fell or jumped from a prison balcony as he and other inmates lined up for breakfast before 5:30 a.m., Woolsey said.

Sounds like it could be the Muslim brotherhood in action or the Skinheads. What the **&(*( is going on with a prison system which allows high profile individuals like this in the general population. I'm assuming a lot here but the story is not helpful.

Sounds like it could be the Muslim brotherhood in action or the Skinheads.Either one is a possibility. Rubin actually committing suicide is a possibility, too.

Rubin actually committing suicide is a possibility, too. Certainly is. However, speculation about a homocide here is not the stuff of tin-foiled hats.

I know someone who blew his brains out in the mess hall at Cherry Point Blowing your brains out is "normal", garden variety suicide. Cutting your own throat is not. Particularly for an obsrevant Jew, with strong rules about suicide.
This was a hit.

Particularly for an obsrevant Jew, with strong rules about suicide.Like I said, you are presuming that Rubin was in full control of his faculties. Suicidal individuals usually are NOT. It's all about THEM, and they don't give a damn about God, God's laws regarding suicide, or anything else.
This was a hit.
Hmm. And, of course, the inmate who bagged Rubin was allowed to immediately wash the blood off of his hands--or did he use telekinesis to move the razor?
Like I said, I've heard Rubin over the years. He was, to put it mildly, an excitable boy.

Issa's religion is listed in the Almanac of American Politics as Protestant. What makes you think he is an Islamist? (I was recently looking at Al Qaeda's terror manual -- it makes clear they will accept no non-Moslem as a member.)
To: Poohbah
The Reuter's story states:"when he slashed his throat with a razor blade and then jumped or fell over a railing." Sorry, this doesn't have the obvious factual basis of "suicide" to it. You have a very controversial individual, with many enemies, and the violence of the penal system. That adds up to other real possibilities.

What makes you think he is an Islamist? Does the concept of "known associates" mean anything to you? Just for one thing..

To: Cachelot
Are you saying he's a secret Moslem? I didn't know Islam had such a thing as secret members. I thought they demanded a public profession of faith.
