Mondale just called him "Norman." wants the Security Council with us so we'll be in a position of strength
To: maximus@Nashville
Did Mondale just call him, "....Norman.."??
Can we annex Minn. to Canada if Mondale wins? Really, if they elect this old has been then they get what they deserve.
Good Luck Coleman, I would vote for you if I could.
To: maximus@Nashville
Mondale thinks he is "Mr. Wilson" and Coleman is "Dennis The Menance".
To: PhiKapMom

Mondale: " I've had experience in diplomacy."
That's for sure, and he was an utter failure.

Norm's got a noon rally with Rudy, and both have appearances throughout the day.
OMG, Mondale just called Norm "NORMAN" like he would say to an errant school boy. My, God, how condescending.

During the Depression, far left wingers in the Farmer-Labor party in Minnesota made inroads in state elections, taking a lot of votes away from the Democrats. After WWII, Hubert Humprhey worked to consolidate the two parties. It was a tough job that took several election cycles. He had to kick the hard core communists out of the Farmer-Labor party to make it work and they did not go gently. At one point, Humphrey had to walk out of his own convention.
Humphrey made his national reputation on this. But after he died, the splits have opened up again as the far left wing has come to the dominate the state DFL. Both Coleman and former Blue Dog Democrat Congressman Tim Penny would have been able to work with the likes of Humphrey. Neither could work with the likes of the people in Wellstone's camp.

Mondale just called Coleman... NORMAN?
What kinda of two-bit condescending "naughty little boy" talk is that.
To: Otta B Sleepin
Coleman was exactly right about negotiating from a position of weakness. Mondale now parsing words between 'may have' nuclear weapons.
To: KsSunflower
He brings up North Korea...Gee, wasn't it HIS President who gave them the nukes? (at least indirectly)
