Never mind that Quayle is both bright and capable or that Ashcroft isn't a Wahhabi nutcase (or that he never asked for the curtain).

what didAshcroft do, then?

In spite of being the party of "sensitive" people who "feel" the pain of others, the Democrat party is teeming with the most vicious, hateful, immoral people who ever lived in this country. In the post-Clinton, post-modern (whatever that means) age, they have been praised, not condemned, for their blatant mantra that the "end justifies the means" and successful (thanks mostly to judges who legislate from the bench) in their attempts to "win" at all costs (and "winning" for them is ALWAYS keeping them in a political majority). Winning is never about doing something for the "little guy" they always claim to be so concerned about. It's about keeping the likes of Dick Gephart in power so he can have a million-dollar beach house in North Carolina, etc.

The map of the 2000 election proved that there are two Americas out there, a blue and a red. And when the Gore/Bush support areas were colored in depth representing intensity of support, there were no pink or baby blues. Those colors were deep red and dark blue. This nation is split and intensely so. I do not know if there has been such a division in this country since the civil war, but I doubt it.

Besides being basically two nations at war, the war is full of hate. Booing someone takes us to the level of the European socceer hooligans. Scratching up someone's car is unbelievable. The other day, a man wouldn't let me in front of him to exit a highway. The rage was scary. I couldn't figure out why until I realized he probably was angry over my Republican bumper sticker. To think that someone could die because of another voter's anger and road rage over a bumper sticker.

There are two Americas out there and it is "us" versus "them". Never forget it. The first step is to get a Republican senate and get judges in there who will legislate on the law and not the way they think things out to be micro-managed. The second step is to get rid of liberal teachers who teach kids "what" to think rather than "how" to think. Finally, we must be ever-vigilant because the tactics they use to cheat and steal elections today will be nothing compared to what they will figure out next when these klutzy techniques fail. This will be a battle til the day we die.

Never, ever trust a democrat. Dead or alive.
The live oens are liars, cheaters and crooks
The dead ones were liars, cheaters and crooks
Either way, they still vote.

>>Today Democrats are what they believe Nixon was.

So true!

But the voter fraud thing seems like something we can fix. I think it's something we should make a lot of noise about.

How to do that? Any ideas?

I liked what P.J. O'Rourke once said about his grandmother, "She never used the word 'Democrat' in the house, she used the word 'bastards' instead."

My feelings precisely. Even the Labour Party has some good, if misguided, people. Apart from Zell Miller and David Schippers, I can't think of ANY in the Democrat party.

Regards, Ivan

The best way to show your disgust to the Democrats (besides voting Republican), is to donate to Republican campaigns, candidates, national/state/local Republican organizations. For example, after the Wellstone memorial service/Mondale pep rally, I made a modest donation to the Norm Coleman for Senate campaign (www.colemanforsenate.com) and I live in NC. Fight the Democrats, tooth and nail!

Thanks for the post, great article. If Mr. Last had shown all of the examples of Democratic Crime Syndicate corruption, his article would have been an A-Z encyclopedia.

Interesting encounter:

I was in my garage refinishing an old chest when a RAT shoved a campaign flier into my front door handle. I was about 8' from him, he could have handed it to me, for crying out loud. He didn't say a word, just looked at me and stumbled on his merry way. I grabbed the flier and quickly read it. I was shocked, so I carefully read it again. It was a flier from Bill "read Lex" Luther. It boldly stated that John Kline (R) was for a national sales tax of 23% on everything. It made NO, 0, nada, mention that that sales tax would replace the federal income tax. Needless to say, I was livid.

As the little RAT was coming down the other side of the street I walked down my driveway and yelled at the SOB, "This is a LIE, do you know you are passing out LIES"? Now, most of my neighbors were doing things around their homes and they bolted straight up and began to look in my direction. They listened as I took issue with this little dweeb. He didn't say a word, he pulled his head into his slumped shoulders and skurried away, like little RATS do when cornered. I'm a pretty big guy, and I have a booming, deep voice, so I was heard all the way around the caldesac. My neighbors and I stood in the middle of the street as I explained the national sales tax idea, truthfully. They were discussed at the flier.

Moral of story: Always confront a RAT and his lies, he will run away like the coward that he is.

OBTW, it was incredible fun!

Once the party of JFK and FDR, the Democrats are now the party of dirty tricks.

It's not exactly that Demos have been following Marquis of Queensbury rules. Remember 1960?

Minnesota’s Senator Hubert Humphrey was a leading candidate against John Kennedy in the primaries. He didn’t have any problem identifying JFK’s major asset: “I don’t have any daddy who can pay the bills for me. I can’t afford to run around this state (West Virginia) with a little black bag and a checkbook. I don’t think elections should be bought. They’re spending with wild abandon.”

Evidence suggested Humphrey knew what he was talking about. A Baltimore Sun reporter claimed he saw votes bought. Rumors surfaced that one of Kennedy’s brothers-in-law had withdrawn all the $1 bills from a Charleston bank to buy votes. Humphrey even hired a former FBI agent to look into the matter.

The editor of the Logan Banner claimed the West Virginia primary was “one of the most corrupt elections in county history” and payoffs “ranged anywhere from $2 and a drink of whiskey to $6 and two pints of whiskey for a single vote.”

Kennedy’s forces hit back at Humphrey, suggesting he was a draft dodger during World War II. That wasn’t accurate; Humphrey had a deferment, as many fathers of three children did. When he volunteered for the Navy he failed the physical. These facts were irrelevant to JFK backer Franklin Roosevelt, Jr.: “There’s another candidate in your primary. He’s a good Democrat, but I don’t know where he was in World War II.”

Although officially “disapproving” of bringing up his opponent’s lack of military service, candidate Kennedy said that no one had contributed more to an honest discussion of the issues than his pal Roosevelt.

Robert Kennedy, his brother’s manager, asserted Teamster boss Jimmy Hoffa was backing Humphrey. Hubert’s response was, “This is just cheap, low-down, gutter politics.”

The Kennedys liked tossing Hoffa’s name around. They later claimed Hoffa was backing Senate majority leader Lyndon Johnson. The Texan denounced the rumors as “constant, crude efforts to smear candidates by association.” He also noted the Kennedys had “been running against Mr. Hoffa for several years now. . . the closer we get to the nomination, the hotter their breath becomes.”

Lyndon was not going to be outdone in the dirty politics department, of course. He attacked JFK's father: “I never thought Hitler was right. I was never any (Neville) Chamberlain umbrella man.” Johnson campaign chief John Connally called a press conference to announce John Kennedy was hiding the fact he suffered from Addison’s Disease.

Not wanting to miss out on the action, old war-horse Harry Truman decided to get his licks in. Charging Kennedy used unfair tactics and money to win the nomination, Mr. Truman asked: “Senator, are you certain that you are quite ready for the country, or that the country is ready for you in the role of President in January 1961?”

As I said, Demos haven't been following the Marquis of Queensbury rules for quite a while.

-At a September debate in Maryland between the candidates for lieutenant governor, supporters of Democratic gubernatorial candidate Kathleen Kennedy Townsend passed out Oreo cookies to mock black Republican hopeful Michael Steele

In KKT's mind, she owns black votes. They owe her for being a kind political slave owner. How dare they think their vote is their vote.
