When someone comes in and does not have the necessary or correct id and name, address and age cannot be verified, I will not let them vote, period

Dixie-good post, thank you for your activism and integrity!

Ya know Dixie, many of the people will not have your savvy or integrity-maybe not, I know that is a negative statement-but still, I can easily picture people wanting to challange a voter on solid grounds (repub or dem worker) but being very afraid, maybe not afraid but certainly cautious and alert to the fact that an attorney is there-----looming----ready to verbally assault and challange the worker's questioning of a would be voter's ID. This WILL INTIMADATE MANY.

Every poll watcher, every poll worker, regardless of party affiliation needs to be told to take hold of your type of standard.

And the ATTORNEYS' themselves need to be observed and witnesses need to be alert to THEIR MO.

The lawyers cannot challenge, they cannot intimidate, they can't do a blooming thing unless they are a official Poll Watcher.

Since elections are public functions, individuals representing organizations or themselves may observe the election process. Observers may stay inside the polling place, if they do not talk with voters or disturb the election process. Because of the size of a polling place, observers may be limited in number.

Observers, as with anyone else in the polling place, may not display any type of campaign literature, including a badge of piece of clothing.

So you see anyone can come and observe. Certain persons will be designated by the others to be Watchers.

Go and observe what takes place in your polling place. You must be DESIGNATED by a candidate or group and have a letter stating such and signed by the head of that organization or Candidate. You can't just walk in a say I'm a watcher. It doesn't work that way.

Study your local and state election laws.

Everyone here is getting hysterical over nothing. Y'all have failed to look at this from the point of view of the Dems - 99% of the public is ignorant of the law, especially election law.

Call your local board and get a copy of the law. It's very simple to do, just go to your public library or ask the election board or the party headquarters of your choice.

Don't let words intimidate you. Be armed with the facts and let the law back you.

As someone else said: "Silly FReepers, the laws are only for Republicans!"
