She was told when she said that she was challenging one ballot, "oh no you're not." They were not allowing her to be close enough to see the signatures or ID's. I had this experience poll watching for early voting as well.

They aren't allowed to do this .. and what is this with the Sheriff ???

the whole focus was on how the evil Republicans are trying to keep them from voting. They were saying that we have all the poll watchers this election to prevent THEM from voting. Now, here is the clencher. They were told that there would be attorneys posted at every precinct to prevent poll watchers from challenging ANY ballots. Now, mind you, one of our poll watchers has already had massive problems with them at the polls during early voting the past couple of weeks and has been advised to retain an attorney. They have had the sheriff remove her from the polls twice when she had done nothing inappropriate...only challenging ballots for improper or no ID.

Q. Who can "actively" challenge my ballot?
A. Poll watchers (candidates, representatives of candidates or representatives of issues) are allowed inside the polls to observe, and sometimes they challenge the ballots of voters. Normally, they base a challenge on identity, address or date of birth of the voter. In other words, a poll watcher questions that a voter is who he says he is, questions that he lives at the stated address, or questions that he is old enough to vote.
Poll workers (election officials) may also challenge your ballot based on identity.

Q. What happens if my ballot is challenged by a pollwatcher?
A. Your ballot will be maintained separately from other ballots until the close of the polls. At that time, Election Commissioners verify your registration and eligibility to vote at that poll. If your registration and eligibility are in order, they will count your ballot.

One of our signs read, YOU WERE IMPEACHED

After the RATS started leaving, and while we were waiting for x-42 to vacate the premisis, several folks saw this sign and insisted he was NEVER impeached.

I politely told them he WAS impeached, just not convicted. Several other FReepers joined in but you cannot tell a rat the truth and expect him/her/it to believe it.

"we did not actually encounter the impeached one"

One of the nastiest reactions that we got was from a little old white lady. One of the signs said "you were impeached!" She tried to argue with us that he was NOT impeached. And she wasn't the only one. (Gotta love them Rat run public schools). Anyway, she then asked us if we were better off now than we were 2 years ago. We all said "yes." I think she thought she had the trump card. She really wasn't expectting that based on her expression. If looks could kill, we'd be a FReeping puddle.

"He slithered in an entrance that we didn't have access to and also left by this secret entrance. What a coward!"

I suspect that was the plan here. We got lucky. Which brings me to another story. I haven't read the whole thread yet, so I don't know if TheBattman told this story. He had his camcorder and attempted to get some footage of the "Grand Entry At the Garbage Dump". Someone got right in the way. Of course we waited around for the exit as well when XXX42 actually hung around by the garbage dump talking before he got in the car. TheBattman was filming away. Just about the time that the dirtbag got in the car, he realized the camera had been on "pause".
