HIGH POINT -- Police say they are dealing with an unusual case in the disappearance of 13-year-old Christopher Dixon a week ago.
They have yet to find any evidence that the boy was abducted, though they have not ruled out the possibility.
Christopher Edward Dixon, 13, is 5 feet tall and weighs 90 pounds. He has light brown hair and bluish-green eyes. He wears glasses. On Thursday afternoon, he was wearing a light blue, short sleeved shirt and dark blue pants.
But it's not a typical runaway case, either. In most such cases, there's a family problem or other serious issue that causes a child to run away, and that doesn't appear to be the case, said police spokesman Lt. Jim Tate.
Thanks for keeping us updated on this sad story, God'sgrrl. So Sorry it truned out badly. Poor little kid.

I travel the area all around High Point and was paying attention,...I have the boy's face memorized.
One thing that plays into solving this case was the the fact that the article says his body was found underneath a bridge. We had torrential rainstorms Monday and Tuesday of this week. Hopefully any evidence left at the scene was'nt washed away.

So if it is declared murder you have a nutcase loose in your area and once again allot of young people will have to be looking over their back instead of enjoying the freedom they should have.
My prayers for your community that the culprit is caught quickly.

Dear God, how sad. I'm going to give my 13 yr. old son an extra hug tonight.

My point being,if this kids mug was at every truck stop, gas station, grocery store, etc, maybe someone would have seen something.Maybe he would be alive today, but,to some here,an amber alert is a waste of time, happens everyday they say, waste of time some say.

Thanks for your prayers.
I have 5 daughters...

I saw his mom on FOX news she said her and the kids jst got home from the school day and she sent Christopher down to fetch the empty trash cans.
After going in the house herself she went back out after about 15 min. to see what was keeping Christopher and his backpack was left behind the car so she went and checked in the house thinking he might of came in without her seeing or hearing him.
Then she got that feeling something was wrong and I just told my son I love him and if there is an upside to being severly disabled with Cerebral Palsy and strapped into a wheelchair is that he can sit out front on a nice day and not worry about being abducted.
I feel for all parents who are raising children in this perverted society.
I cherish my memories of being able to play outside untill dinner with no fear of harm.
It must be difficult to not go overboard on protecting children and trying to keep them out of harms way.
The news says folks should go on with living their lives "normally" when these tragedies strike. Well I think it is to late for "normal" in these times.
What would we do without our faith and hope in prayer.
My heart goes out to Christopher and his family.
Senseless.

He was reported missing under unusal circumstances, but the cops treated it as just, missing.Should have issued an amber alert, had this been a 13 year old girl they would have. Has anyone said why they didn't issue an Amber Alert? This is so sad...the poor kid was just bringing in the trash cans!

Not to sound mean Dianna, but he was a boy,not a girl. That would mean maybe his abductors could be GAY,now do you understand? Can't be out there GAY bashing and be PC.Had it been a girl, then pictures of Aqualung would have been immediatley posted nationwide.

I'm not sure I agree completely with your reasoning, but I hope the parents raise a huge ruckus over this! I care just as much about my sons as other parents do about their daughters.

Heavenly Father we're despairing over Christopher's murder. Please comfort and guard Chris's parent's hearts and minds as they face this unthinkable loss. You promise Lord to be with the brokenhearted, please be with these brothers and sisters in Christ during this time and grant them Your inexplainable peace.

Dianna,WAKE UP,to the gay agenda in this country,we see it in our schools and our legislature.Just ask barney Franks.Say something bad about a white christian and it goes un noticed.Say something bad about a homosexual and you are labeled with a hate crime.A shame this is a sign of the times.

Prayers for the family. I know it's small comfort right now, but we will all meet again in His presence...and every tear will be wiped away.
