The article doesn't say, but I'll bet grandma isn't much, if any, over 30.

Trinderlyn Snow Williams, 30

Sad, sad story. I would say more, but I would probably be banned from Free Republic if I said what I want to say.

A friend of mine works in Detroit with pregnant girls aged 12-14. They have had no parental guidance. They often tell Rachel, who is only 24, that they wish they had had a mother like her when they were younger. They had no one at home guiding and disciplining them. They usually have C-section. They are old enough to get pregnant, but their hips are not wide enough yet to let a baby out. The ones who do manage to have natural childbirth often have a terrible time. Rachel tries to convince them that their 46 year old uncle is not in love with them, and stories like that..... At least these girls aren't having abortions. That is the miracle here. Rachel has a very very very high stress job!

Looks like an *aspiring rapper* don't get no respect here! And not from his child bride neither!

I had our first child the year we turned 30!!!! On my husband's thirtieth birthday, after 8 years of marriage. That oldest son of ours is 21 now. My three kids are in no rush to have children of their own!!!!! I think 30 was TOO young to start my family! hee hee

Not unusual really. An ob-gyn friend told me of a 10 yo who delivered, child fathered by an "uncle".

Rachel wasn't always the easiest child to raise. But NOW that she has had her eyes opened, she tells her mother all the time "THANK YOU FOR BEING THERE WHEN I GOT HOME FROM SCHOOL AND TALKING TO ME EVERY DAY!" Rachel REALLY appreciates her Christian Conservative Republican upbringing now. Rachel's husband is in med. school. That is a strain for them right now too. Rachel has heart problems, so all this stress is very difficult for her. She is amazing! And she is so grateful that her parents told her NO when she was growing up!

Would you really be surprised? Some of these kids are so desperate for love, they take it where they find it, often part of the seduction. I live on the outer edge of an inner city with many problems, and we often read of similar situations.

My kids went to junior high and high school in a small town in Texas and a lot of the kids who didn't have strict conservative parents ended up pregnant by 6th grade. My son was in a regular English class in 9th grade and said most of the kids in that class were 19 and were in gangs and already had kids of their own! He never asked to be put in a regular class again. He suffered through the advanced classes after that. He said they were hard, but at least you learned something. He said in that reg. English class you didn't learn a thing!

You nailed it, these kids are desparate for love and looking for it in all the wrong places! YOU are so RIGHT!

Several schools here have child care available. Mind-blowing for oldies like me.

At least she had some motherly instincts...so many women don't nowadays and just let their boyfriends beat their babies to death.

One "accidental" whack from this guy and Mama took care of the problem.

Good point! At least the girl was trying to raise the baby and didn't put it in a trash bin.

I was recently told by a parent that there is a pregnant fourth-grader in another school in our town. My fourth-grade son has two African American girls in his class and they both have clearly started puberty. We have not even told him about sex yet, he is only 9!!! Girls are becoming women at much earlier ages nowadays. Nobody knows why. But their parents can still keep them little girls if they want to. Not enough parents want to, they would just as soon have the kids grow up and move out at 12 so they can get back to their partying lifestyle.

There were always girls who matured early, like about 9 years old. The plumper ones seem to mature early. My sister matured at 9, we are mostly caucasian. I didn't reach puberty till age 14. I think I was BLESSED that way. At the time I hated it, but looking back, I enjoyed a much longer childhood. But even the ones who mature early can be kept children if the parents are on top of things and alert all the time and in control..... etc.....

Williams, who used the stage name "2000," was an aspiring rapper

Oh, it's just too easy.

where his group, Pimpalinium, was performing.

Ahh,yes. All hail the "Pimp"! A proper role model if there ever was one! I wonder if he had a role as a pimp to his 12 year old stepdaughter, and that's why she was pregnant as a 11 year old?

"This was a volatile relationship," said Williams' mother.

OK,everybody who believes this woman REALLY used the word "volatile" correctly in sentence, raise your hands.

She said there was no police report of the stabbing because her son was wanted on a warrant, so he used Roderick, his brother's name, when he went to Grady Memorial Hospital.

Of course. Doesn't everybody do this? I guess his brother got stuck with the "un-romantic role" of "non-criminal family member". Kinda like a "desiginated drinker",he is a "desiginated ID" for dealing with the po-lice.

Anybody want to bet that how this family really "earned" their living was through gooberment aid and drug dealing? That's right. Our tax money is spent to PAY people like this so they have plenty of time to lay around their homes and breed.

These aren't people...they are animals. Instinct not intelligence governs actions.

You're right. They are closer to being two-legged rats than actual thinking people. The word "consequences" ain't even a theory to them. It's all about what they want this very instant, and nothing else matters.

Just when he was turning his life around.

You're right. He already had a CD out,and was going to school at night to improve himself. He had already learned his "A's" and his "B's",and was working hard on understanding his "C"s". Course,he already knew his "B's" when he got there, even if he misspelled it. An example would be "Tyrone,he be's at de clinic."

Please don't tell us that the father of the baby is the girl's dead step-father. Please.

Nobody knows, and nobody seems to care. The important thing is she brought money and food stamps in to the fambly.

and that's why she was pregnant as a 11 year old?

My thought was that she's getting started early on welfare payments. She could have a whole litter by the age of 18.
