I'm not talking about the adults in this, I'm talking about an innocent 5-yaer-old girl who only know that the man she called "daddy" for all her life for some reason unknown to HER wants to now have nothing to do with her and wants the gifts he gave her back. A 5 year old child knows nothing of DNA or fraud or anything like that. She only knows she is being rejected for no reason at all in her mind or she's thinking maybe she's done something wrong to make her "daddy" stop loving her.

Blame the woman who lied about who the childs father was. The man is a victim who tried to do what's right.
I know its horribly unpopular to bring this up these PC days, but some people might actually want to have a child that is theirs genetically. The man has that right. If the child is hurt, that is the woman's responsibility for her deception and unfaithfulness. I guess all men should be forced to pay the price for women's dishonesty?

He's not taking a child's Barbies away. Try to keep the hyperbole to a minimum, please.

This is where Mommy has to step up and tell the child that Mommy was the one who wronged Daddy, not her, and that is why Daddy left. Of course, she seems to be a moral coward (and cheater, and fraud), so I doubt she will.

She only knows she is being rejected for no reason at all in her mind or she's thinking maybe she's done something wrong to make her "daddy" stop loving her. That's the thing, Pippin. The child is left with a lying piece of trash for a mother and the former "Daddy" is rightfully outraged. It was the child that was most grievously harmed in this and the fault lies on the mother's doorstep. One can only hope that "Daddy" will still take an interest in the little girl, so long as the mother doesn't benefit financially from it.
