You have a great son! He understands his mom's emotions. I did see that you cried, yes. This man just has that kind of effect and I have no idea why. He sucks all the oxygen out of the room, I tell ya!! The day I kissed GWB on the cheek, shook his hand, told him I was praying for him and got him to autograph his autobiography is a day I will never forget. I saw him two more times after that but nothing was like the first time.

Remember the night the DUI story broke? Well, he was here at a rally and I was there. He was late for that rally and we couldn't figure out why since he is usually so prompt. It turned out that he was late because he was calling his daughters to tell them what was about to break in the press. As we filed out after the rally, we learned of the DUI and everybody was shocked that a 20 some year old story would matter to anyone. Sadly, I guess it did matter to some Independents that went back to Gore in the end. I thought he handled it well when he faced the press outside of Wisconsin State Fair Park. He admitted it, apologized and then questioned the timing of the story. Republicans got angry at what was done to him so that part was good. Anyway, I'm babbling here but I am really happy that you got to see him!

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!

Darlin' I don't know what I would have done without you and your help--all the phone calling you did was above and beyond belief....and those that helped Darlin' to know I was in need, thank you so much too!

I cannot tell you all what it was like to have your support in a time when I felt like a deer in headlights. Free Republic posters are the best of the best.

I have told the story of how you all came to my aid when I needed you most, and none of you even know me! You are all what America is all about. The goodness you shared with me that evening will never be forgotten, and it was and is appreciated more than you will ever know.

My father was a wonderful man. To give you an example, he used to cut coupons when he and my mom would go to the grocery store. Often times, my mother would tell me stories of how he would put coupons for diapers next to the diaper brand, so that young mothers who might be on a tight budget would be able to use them. Bank tellers, post office employees and even grocery store clerks would come out from behind their desks to hug my mother and tearfully tell her that they didn't know if a sweeter man existed. I was so proud to be his daughter.

People DO notice if you are nice to them. I noticed your kindness, and will do my best to honor you all by passing that kindness on to others.

Thank you all so much again! NordP
