I mean he was getting really close!! I used no zoom on this picture....(aren't those cute little W West Virginia maps? :o)
CLOSE!!! Going crazy here!! What do I say?? What if I faint?!! LOL!
He came down the steps and started 'working the crowd', holding up two babies and smiling. I had a great shot of one, but then this pumpkin lady, pushed forward in the surge of the crowd, and all I got in my picture was the SS guy, the back of W's head, and the top of the baby's head!! AArrrghh!!
He was coming right up to me then, so I dropped the camera after this shot (note pumpkin costume.....)
Thanks for the pics ...
THEN, he hugged me, and gave me a kiss on my left cheek.......which has not been washed since! :o)
WVNan told me later that she placed her hand on his when he had his hand on my shoulder. He then reached out and shook Eric's hand, and gave a young soldier the thrill of a lifetime......he looked at me afterwards and said, "I just shook hands with my Commander in Chief!"
What a thrill!! How thankful we are to have this great, yet humble man as our President! It was obvious in just a moment that he really was listening to me.....that he really does care about us little guys......and that he wants and needs our prayers! I felt like I could have been the only one in the whole room when he looked at me, and spoke in soft, gentle tones to me.
I was talking with a brother in Christ, to whom God has given enormous responsibilites! We all need to lift him up in prayer every day!! EVERY DAY!!
And we need to be on our knees from now until Tuesday for this election, so that he can more effectively do GOD's WORK for this country!
Three very happy campers!!
I LOVE THIS PICTURE!
