It was then that he walked right in front of me, and I said, "I'm praying for you and Laura every day." He looked right at me......we were face to face.....me with the President of the United States of America......and he said, "Thank you. That's the kindest thing you can do for me."

THEN, he hugged me, and gave me a kiss on my left cheek.......which has not been washed since! :o)

WVNan told me later that she placed her hand on his when he had his hand on my shoulder. He then reached out and shook Eric's hand, and gave a young soldier the thrill of a lifetime......he looked at me afterwards and said, "I just shook hands with my Commander in Chief!"

What a thrill!! How thankful we are to have this great, yet humble man as our President! It was obvious in just a moment that he really was listening to me.....that he really does care about us little guys......and that he wants and needs our prayers! I felt like I could have been the only one in the whole room when he looked at me, and spoke in soft, gentle tones to me.

I was talking with a brother in Christ, to whom God has given enormous responsibilites! We all need to lift him up in prayer every day!! EVERY DAY!!

And we need to be on our knees from now until Tuesday for this election, so that he can more effectively do GOD's WORK for this country!

Ohio!! Your pictures are GREAT!! Omigod, I can just picture you as he keeps coming closer and closer...oh, what a hoot! I can't believe you were able to take so many pictures and have them turn out so well. Ah, and the kiss...his lips are nice and soft, yes?

When I saw him (during the campaign) I had my camera and like a total dip, I took tons of pictures of his PLANE (d'oh!) and then RAN OUT OF FILM!! Fortunately, my friend had his camera so I could take of picture of W with my boys.

Yes, to your comment re: praying---

"Again, amen, I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything for which they are to pray, it shall be granted to them by my heavenly Father. " (Mt 18:19).

Let us get to praying more as if the weight of the success of this campaign to bring God back into our lives and to have love and compassion for one another falls on each one of our shoulders.

Your pictures and your retelling of this event are priceless! Yes, we must be on our knees daily in prayer for this President, for our nation, for these elections - as much as possible! We must commit him and our nation to God who would honor His Servant George W. Bush in these elections.
