Was he wearing after shave cologne or not? Were his cheeks wet or was it only he kissing you? Wow, I wonder if you wore makeup if he got some on his lips or if he got a whiff of your perfume? What a lucky woman. I got a handshake and of course my arm around his waist and his arm over my shoulder, but somehow I believe it would have been more memorable with a kiss on the cheek. Get outa here, girl.

Hmmmm I wonder if you can get this photo mounted somehow so there is some white area and send it to him--I bet he'd autograph it and send it back! Wouldn't that be cool!

I've tried twice to get his autograph on my photo of the boys with him but to no avail. I've enlarged them again and plan on sending them to him this week. The first time was during the election fiasco and the second time was right when the Antrax business hit. D'oh!
I'm hoping third time is a charm and I'm sending it certified mail this time.
I'll pray for tickets for you. Then, maybe you can tell us the color of his eyes! ROFL!

"When he walked away from me at last, I burst into tears!" I remember that, and the same thing happened to me!
Ohio, thank you so much for your excellent reporting. Your pictures are terrific, it seems like you got a great spot! I'm so excited for you. I also got to shake hands and speak to then Governor Bush during the 2000 campaign, in a rope line following a rally like you did. And it struck me the same way, when he is speaking to you, it's as if you are the only person in the room. An unbelievably quiet confidence surrounds him. I didn't get a kiss though!! Lucky you!

Eric should have worn his uniform. Wow!!
Yes, to your comment re: praying---
"Again, amen, I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything for which they are to pray, it shall be granted to them by my heavenly Father. " (Mt 18:19).
Let us get to praying more as if the weight of the success of this campaign to bring God back into our lives and to have love and compassion for one another falls on each one of our shoulders.

LOL!
"Hello, President Bush. I am lawgirl of the Daily Dose, and it is my sole job today to report to our eager subscribers---exactly WHAT color are your eyes???? Oh they ARE blue!! BWAAHAHAHAHAHA"
Later on Brit Hume:
"A strange incident on the campaign trail. At the campaign stop in St. Charles, Missouri, for the Republican candidate for Senate, Jim Talent, a six foot tall amazon woman known only as 'lawgirl' had to be subdued by SSGuy. She was not clamoring for an autograph or a kiss from the president, but was instead trying to get close enough to the President to find out his eye color. She was subdued and drug out to the forum laughing manically and saying "I TOLD them they were blue BWHWAHAHAHAHA." Later, Ari Fleischer released a statement saying 'Lawgirl's enthusiasm is well appreciated by our President, and he would like to offer her a job on his next presidential campaign. Oh, and they are blue.' More on this story as it develops."

Once you meet this man, you never forget it. There is an aura around him that is difficult to explain and impossible to dismiss.

lawgirl, you have got to be the funniest freeper there is! You always make me laugh out loud - and YES - his eyes ARE blue! I so hope you get to meet our wonderful President!!! You will never forget it...um...and neither will he. LOL!

OH, YEAH!! I was going to say something about the way he smelled!!!
He didn't seem to have any cologne on, but I thought he smelled kind of......sweet!
That's one of the things I noticed, having superior olfactory nerves, that, not only was there an absence of any unpleasant odor, which might have happened, since he worked up a sweat speaking.....but that he actually smelled good!
And there was no sweat on my face from his face.....just moisture from his lips....and it lingered for quite a while. I don't think any make-up was removed however.....after standing outside and waiting so long, I'm not sure how much I had left on anyway.
lawgirl, you gotta see him.....you just gotta!!
To: DaughterofEve
LOL!! Jeannette MacDonald is one of my very favorites.....only with Nelson Eddy,
not Maurice Chevalier!
Actually, my mom looked something like her, so if I had been lucky and gotten the good looking genes, I might have looked like her too!

When he walked away from me at last, I burst into tears! Your recounting of this wonderful meeting was wonderful! Full of emotion and passion and detail. I am so happy for you and Eric, who got to meet his Commander-In-Chief!Wait4Truth, did you read my later post about crying? When I started to pray to THANK THE LORD for this incredible, still dreamlike experience, I burst into tears as well!!
What a range of wild emotions I'm still going through! I actually prayed, almost laughing, "OK LORD, you know I'm struggling with this obsession not working it's way into sin, and THIS DIDN'T HELP ANY!!!" LOL!! Eric said....that's OK Mom. You love him for the right reasons.....or something like that! He was so cute, watching his mom act like a teenager! (It's a good thing it wasn't my Spock-like emotions are a bad thing older son!)
He's still smiling too, and his Dad is real jealous of him!

There is an aura around him that is difficult to explain and impossible to dismiss.I really believe it's the LORD, W4T. There's something intangible that just draws you to him........we see it EVERY night here on the Dose, and I sure saw it Thursday night! He's like a rock star, only not........so much better, because he is so good.
God is at work in and through this special man!
To: Brad's Gramma
Yes, BG.......I am HAPPY!!!!
