Wait4Truth, did you read my later post about crying? When I started to pray to THANK THE LORD for this incredible, still dreamlike experience, I burst into tears as well!!
What a range of wild emotions I'm still going through! I actually prayed, almost laughing, "OK LORD, you know I'm struggling with this obsession not working it's way into sin, and THIS DIDN'T HELP ANY!!!" LOL!! Eric said....that's OK Mom. You love him for the right reasons.....or something like that! He was so cute, watching his mom act like a teenager! (It's a good thing it wasn't my Spock-like emotions are a bad thing older son!)
He's still smiling too, and his Dad is real jealous of him!
Remember the night the DUI story broke? Well, he was here at a rally and I was there. He was late for that rally and we couldn't figure out why since he is usually so prompt. It turned out that he was late because he was calling his daughters to tell them what was about to break in the press. As we filed out after the rally, we learned of the DUI and everybody was shocked that a 20 some year old story would matter to anyone. Sadly, I guess it did matter to some Independents that went back to Gore in the end. I thought he handled it well when he faced the press outside of Wisconsin State Fair Park. He admitted it, apologized and then questioned the timing of the story. Republicans got angry at what was done to him so that part was good. Anyway, I'm babbling here but I am really happy that you got to see him!
