Norm Coleman is articulate, charming even. I think voters seeing him this way...non-combative, and seemingly dedicated to the state, are going to be impressed, where before they may not have been.

The Green guy's a goober, wierdo to the max, but the other guy was impressive. Was he an Independent? Interesting he seemed very friendly with Coleman.

Y'all be sure and watch the Georgia senate debate Sunday night. Saxby Chambliss creamed Max Cleland the last one. New ad in local paper today..."Axe Max" and I think it will happen.

I flipped over to HARDBALL, and that idiot Craig Crawford said the Minnesota debate tonight had been cancelled.

I don't know what 's wrong with Mathews...Every poll hes shown was taken last weekend. He's sooooooooooo behind the times in this.

Mathews seemed incredulous he's being told by Nora O'Donnell that Republicans think they will win South Dakota, Missouri, and Georgia.

I am just loving this. The DNC is making Mondale follow the Lautenberg script, beause they think if it works in New Jersey it will work everywhere. But it is backfiring bigtime because:

a)the Minnesota media are not playing along;

b)Norm Coleman is a totally fabulous candidate; and

c)Minnesota is not New Jersey, with 45 percent ot the electorate being broken-glass Democrats.

And the best part of it is, the Rats won't figure this out until Tuesday night!! So, they hang on to a seat in NJ that should have been theirs all along, but they have a "new" senator that instantly becomes the left' Strom Thurmond, with an immediate death watch; and they lose a seat in Minnesota that they could probably have won if they had followed a different script.

I hadn't heard Coleman til now. Definitely NYC accent - worn off, but there. Must be the "Henry Higgins" in me to figure this out. :-)

Here's Coleman's bio information (I can personally appreciate the part about being a roadie/tech as I've done that and still do it from time to time):

Norm Coleman was Mayor of Saint Paul for 8 years.

He worked in the Minnesota Attorney General's Office for 17 years as Chief Prosecutor and Solicitor General of the State of Minnesota.

Norm has two children, Jacob and Sarah, with his wife Laurie.

In Norm's younger years, he was a roady for Ten Years After, a one-hit wonder band during the 60s. Norm helped set up the stage and held the bass amp during concerts.

Norm grew up in Brooklyn, NY as one of eight kids.

Norm considers music legend Bob Dylan among one of his favorite artists.

A favorite pastime of Norm's is playing basketball with his daughter, Sarah.

While Norm is an accomplished juggler, he believes that public service is his true calling.

As mayor, Norm has been a champion of education. St. Paul was the home of the first charter school, City Academy, and subsequently more schools have been founded and flourished. -----------------------------------------
