I'm still reeling from the shock of discovering that there are any Republicans in Travis County at all...

Travis County was carried by GW in 2000, thanks to all the Greens who voted for Nader1

Cheer up!
Got one THC (Travis Heights Crew) Republican here!
I know of 3 others!
We all voted early at the Oltorf HEB. Everything seemed to be run well at that location, at that time. However their surely were a number of rats scurrying about.
Leave it to the genius Guilty White Liberals over Lakeway to screw it up. ;)
Let the THC flame war begin!

Nah, there are a couple of us.
What I got a kick out of was the sample ballot they used to demo the thing. They used names of celebs and every one of them I recognized was am outspoken flaming liberal.
When I pointed this out to the dullard giving the demo and asked where where the conservatives one of the ladies also watching the demo say 'funny, you don't look like a conservative'.
Only my Texas manners kept me from replying with anything other than I would drag myself over shards of glass to vote for a conservative.
She looked quite shocked, I don't think she'd ever run into one before.
In the People's Republic of Travis diversity is a great thing...as long as it's only cosmetic.

I'm still reeling from the shock of discovering that there are any Republicans in Travis County at all... I am sure Mr. Travis is not pleased with the county named after him. In fact, I doubt there were many pro-hispanic democrats inside the Alamo.

Hey, I am one!!!
We are not all Liberals.
I did the early voting today. The system is easy enough to use, and it was cool to be able to do the straight party Republican vote and see each Republican candidate listed.
On the paper ballots, I know that they could be abused so I always also put in the votes for the GOP candidates as well on the paper ballots. This time it was automatic and easier. Other than voting for all Repbulicans,
I voted for one libertarian running against a Democrat judge. It is a bit creepy that there is nothing but an electronic indication of my vote.
I am worried about the possibility of fraud can increase in this system.

Even with all the FRAUD, Travis County voted for President Bush. How about that. :-)
