The tarot card didn't say, "I am God." It said, "Call me God." Are you sure? I thought the tarot card said "I am God," but the letter left near the Ponderosa restaurant said "Call me God." But there's been so much misreporting regarding the exact words in these notes (Dear Policeman, Dear Mr. Policeman, etc.), that I'm really not certain.

Listen to the tape of Malvo calling the Rockville police department on Oct. 15th that's now been released. He says it says, "Call me God." I think the reports saying the card said, "I am God" were either misreporting, or deliberately skewed information from the police for the purpose of controlling the investigation.

By CURT ANDERSON, Associated Press Published 4:13 a.m. PDT Friday, October 25, 2002 WASHINGTON (AP) - The letter left by the sniper suspects outside a Virginia steakhouse began with a cover sheet that said "call me God" and demanded $10 million ransom in "unlimited withdrawal" around the world, law enforcement officials said Friday night. "For you, Mr. Policeman. Call me God. Don't release to the press," says the letter, described by a federal law enforcement source familiar with the four-page document.
