This sounds like pure B.S. I heard this mentioned on FoxNews over the weekend then they dropped this story. Me thinks some folks with an interest in trying to obscure any connections to Islam for election reasons are behind floating this story. Ann Coulter last night pointed out that J. Mohammed registered his getaway vehicle with the DMV on the anniversary of Sept. 11 -- writing down the time of registration as 8:52 a.m, the time the first plane hit the World Trade Center. This fact has been supressed. This seems like far more of a significant thing than the opinion of some Catholic priest. How is he an expert on Islamic Imperialism? Not to mention the validated connection of J. Mohammed and Nation of Islam, Mosques, etc. These FACTS are far more relevant than some unsubstantiated opinion of one prison priest.

I've said it once, and I'll keep saying this: No one, not one person, does not realize this guy was a MUSLIM. Why you people think this is being "obscured" or "suppressed" is beyond imagination. He changed his last name to MOHAMMED for Pete's sake.

This story was posted here on FR from other media outlets the day after he was caught. Sorry to burst your "suppression" bubble. Don't forget the part about the bomb thread, also widely discussed here on FR.

Agreed, this IS puse B.S. It's no more true than the fiction of Moose "solving" the case. He did more to screw it up than to solve it, with all of his PC "we're looking for a middle aged white guy in a white van crap.

On another note, my mother heard this morning that Mohammad and Malvo were murdering ALL THOSE PEOPLE, just to terrorize Mohammad's ex-wife, whom SHE says threatened to kill her if she divorced him. Which is ALSO B.S. Not the threatening to kill his ex part, just the part about murdering 12 people just to scare her, WHEN SHE WAS ALREADY GONE.

This is Islamist extremism, and nothing else.

I don't think so. Freepers were all over the Five Percenter connection like a rash the day after Muhammed was arrested. On some thread, hispanarepublicana (as I recall) posted literature from the Five Percenters highlighting phrases they use that exactly matched Muhammed and Malvo's. Also, a priest who works in prison systems really is an expert on this sort of thing...he's seen it all, no doubt about it. You can probably look up Five Percenters online, sorry I can't help you with a link.

I think Father needs to do a little reading. He might start with "The Arab Mind," by Raphael Patai. Islam is rooted in the Arab culture; its very language makes it hard for any Arab to connect with western patterns of throught.
