Rush: Minnesota is now a dead heat again
Rush Limbaugh | Nov 1, 2002

Posted on 11/01/2002 10:33:20 AM PST by John Jorsett

Rush has just reported on his show that internal Republican polling now shows Minnesota to be a statistical dead heat once again, Mondale having dropped 7 points. He cites the Democrat funerally (my borrowed term from another talk show) for Wellstone as one reason, particular among independent voters who were turned off by the tone of the event and Ventura's walking out.

No matter how much you reveal all these truths, I am afraid that the majority in MN are socialists -- they still see the "hope" of government "solutions" to all problems, even problems that government creates. People in MN believe in "democracy," particularly if they can "sock it to the {undefined} rich."

Do you think MN voted for CarterMondale primarily because of Carter or because of Mondale? I guess some trusting souls there voted CarterMondale because of BOTH of these "problem solvers."

Absolutely, Moynihan and Nunn were and ARE very loyal to the liberal "democracy." They believe in these socialist ideas. Moynihan gladly turned his seat over to Hillary; Nunn turned his over to the liberal Max Cleland.

I've often wondered why Ms. Lowey fell on her sword at the snap of the clinton's fingers. Now we know. Maybe she too feared for HER life if she did not.

Landrieu will bring her fellow New Orleans native James Carville to "secure" her seat -- he will do "whatever it takes." And LA voters will meekly fall in line in the name of "our democracy."

Cheney was here in Arkansas yesterday. Clinton will be here on Sunday but it appears that the candidates may be distancing themselves from him. However, FReepers will be reminding everybody. The president will be here on Monday.

Maybe voters are tired of bequeathing their political fates out of sympathy for dead Democrats. It amazes me that people can be so selfish -- they can ignore their kids, show up to work drunk, divorce at the drop of a hat, cheat on their taxes (you know who you are!), take home office supplies, drive over the speed limit -- but golly, a Democrat dies in office, and it's like, "Oh, please! Please! Take my political future and screw it up! It's the least I can do for you!"

The deal with LA is that runoffs are low turnout elections... it's hard to drag out the Democrats again moreso than GOP voters ... this is how Coverdell won in Georgia, on the runoff. still, an uphill race.

"C-SPAN will be good this weekend"

Yes, it really will, and THANK YOU for pointing out the obvious to me. I will turn it on in the AM, and leave it on. Thank you, sincerely, I honestly would not have thought of this on my own!

The Dims would have no hesitations ofting him so that the governor could appoint (annoint) someone of their choosing

MN governor is Ventura, an Independent, who right now thinks the DemonRATs are shameful. The subsequent Governor will be Pawlenty (a Pub).

Q. "How do we get this information out to the voting public without coming off as sniping little whiners?"

A. By e-mailing it to everyone we know, who will e-mail it to everyone they know, etc, etc. I'm starting now (I hope you don't mind my borrowing your wonderful assemblage of facts), I live in New Jersey, but I do know one person, who knows three people who live in Minnesotta, and I figure if everyone who reads your post e-mails your list to everyone in their address book that, by way of Shanghi, Cape Town, Sydney, and outer Mongolia, every single person in Mn. with an e-mail address will have received three copies (at least) by Monday (at the latest)!

I understand Coleman has some TV commercials out which portray him playing touch football with his kids, and generally acting young and energetic. I guess he's hoping that viewers will draw the comparison on their own.

Here's hoping.

"Ah tell you Fritz, you old tool, your daughter is really something in the sack! Why ah remember the night she..."

"Yep, yep, she told me about that, just doing her democratic duty. Her knees were never the same, though."
