Nearly 80 percent of heterosexual men have admitted to pretending to be gay at some point in their lives in order to achieve something of benefit, according to a U.K. dating site's survey.
When respondents were asked to explain situations where a "benefit" may occur from pretending to be gay, popular answers included gaining preferable seats or upgrades when checking in for a flight, gaining entry to a fashionable club or when negotiating discounts in shops.
The Dating Channel's panel of relationship experts, including "text jockeys" and viewers, were surveyed on the subject of sexuality and dating as part of the research required for the launch of the new gay channel TDC2.
Over 70 percent of straight male respondents also admitted to having visited a gay club in order to meet single women.
Surprisingly the survey also found that nearly 50 percent of straight men that work in a media environment have felt under pressure at some point in their career to not reveal their sexuality. This shows an increasing trend in negative discrimination, claim the survey's authors.
The results also suggest that 90 percent of straight women have had a one-time gay sexual experience. However, in most cases the experience happened over 3 years ago.

...popular answers included gaining preferable seats or upgrades when checking in for a flight, gaining entry to a fashionable club or when negotiating discounts in shops. Plus, you get to hang out with all the best looking women who love hanging with pansies. You might even get one or two to take you on as a project to "turn you from the Dark Side".</sarcasm>

Hey, thats one of the great things about being a guy. Of course, if that ever really happened to me like it does in Penthouse letters, I'd probably stand there, speechless, like a drooling moron for at least 30 seconds, after which I'd say "sure!".

With another woman, Einstein. Geez. You'll have to excuse me, wienerdog. I don't make it a point to be schooled in the art of homosexual mental deviance.

all the best looking women who love hanging with pansies. I once asked my sister why she had so many gay male friends. She said, "Because they like women better than straight men."

She said, "Because they like women better than straight men." There's a non-sequitur if ever I've heard one.
Here's a related question: Why is it that gay women don't hang with men? Why is it that they are, by and large, repulsed by men?

Just another bogus study to show us what bigots we are if we don't accept homosexuality as the norm.
Unless my husband of 31 yrs is a closet homosexual, I've never had a sexual experience with a homosexual. I have many close friends and they've never had a sexual experience with a homosexual either. Maybe I just don't know any NORMAL people :-}

Why is it that gay women don't hang with men? Why is it that they are, by and large, repulsed by men?I dunno. On the other hand, I don't know any men who like to hang around the "dykes on bikes" crowd, either.

These numbers are so full of krap. 90% of all women have had at least one sexual encounter with a homosexual man?They met them at a gay bar full of striaght men pretending to be gay. Interesting way to pick up women.
