Chechen Terrorists to be Buried in Pigskin
According to the Moskovski Komsomol newspaper, Russian security forces have decided to bury the terrorists from last's week's hostage siege wrapped in pig's skin. The aim is to deter potential Islamic terrorists from future attacks.
Shahidi (Jihad martyrs) believe by their nefarious acts that they ascend immediately to heaven. Using their beliefs against them, wrapping their corpses in 'unclean' pigskin prevents them from entering heaven for eternity.

Interesting tactic. We'll see if it ends up being a deterrent.

I love it. As for measuring its effect, remember the old joke about keeping elephants off the lawn.

Smoked or sauteed?
Henbane and laurel leaf spices?
Very tasty for the already dead, I'm sure...

I think they're stupid. There is a need to defend yourself, but there is no need to offer insults that might lead to tit-for-tat revenge. In my opinion, it's sufficient to kill the guys who are attacking you.
I also think it's important to emphasize that we are more civilized than our enemies.

Interesting tactic. We'll see if it ends up being a deterrent. It sure as hell can't hurt. Glad to see that the Russians haven't adopted political correctness.

Good idea. I recomment the same for John Muhammed and others of the same.

Hell, don't stop with burying corpses in pig skins, how about a few heavy bomber loads of chitlins dropped on a couple of strategic targets. Maybe whole pigs...wait...make that smart pigs dropped with pin point accuracy on the front lawns of the rebel leadership..
Sorry, I got carried away there....must be the halloween spirit...

You are entitled to your opinion, but I think you are wrong. The Russians know how to go for the jugular and that is what they are doing.
The Jihadis have been brainwashed into believing that death in the service of Islam is a sure ticket to paradise regardless of any actions taken before "martyrdom". That's why the 9/11 Islamofascists could spend their last night on the planet lap-dancing and swilling booze.
That being the case, they are extremely hard to deter because death is what they are actively seeking because it leads to Paradise.
If they believe that their death is NOT going to get them into Paradise because their bodies are wrapped in pig-skin than maybe they will think twice before strapping on a suicide bomb.
Isreal should have adopted this tactic long ago.

Liberals constantly whine about the way we treat terrorists and suspects; I wonder how they feel about their beloved (former)Soviet's tactics?
To: proxy_user
I think John Pershing did this to the Moro Islamic fanatics in the Philippines in the early 1900s. It calmed them the f*ck down pretty fast.

The Russians understand the mentality of the murderers. Americans always try to equate everything to our standards and terms of justice. We do it all the time and when we don't get the answers we want, we ask, "why do they hate us" or "we need to learn why they hate us". Screw'em. The Russians have it right.

That might be a little difficult to carry out in Israel, as there is great shortage of kosher ham.

There is no deterrent effect to killing them. Burying them in pigskin isn't objectively cruel, but exploits their crude belief that God would keep a person out of paradise for such a reason. I see nothing immoral, low, or objectionable about burying a Muslim terrorist in pigskin, or smeared with pig grease, etc.

But I sure can't recall the joke about elephant and lawns.

"important to emphasize we are more civilized than the enemy".....what? Are YOU kidding? As if they would care?
To: Ronin
When you get in a fist fight with a vicious but poorly educated criminal who fights dirty, it does you no good to quote Queensbury rules.
This pig tactic has worked historically, it's worth a shot.
To: proxy_user
Yes, we are more civilized than our enemies. It is the Russians who are doing this.

I find that to be the most infuriating aspect in our war on terrorism.
