Soaring health care costs are a very real problem. A bigger problem, however, is what Oregon voters have on their November ballot, which a dozen other states are also considering: single payer health care. Proponents claim that having the state pay for nearly everyone's medical needs will provide high-quality, accessible, affordable and comprehensive care to everyone. If this is such a good idea for the health care sector, then surely it should first be applied to a sector more important to people's immediate well being, like food.

How about single-payer beer. Monks would survive through Lent (and the rest of the year) on their heady brews. Now single-payer beer, that would be something.

"Single-Payer Healthcare" - Translation: Let's wreck the entire healthcare system so that people who are too stupid/lazy to sign up for health insurance can have health care, too.

Brought to you by the Democratic Party... The party of, by, and for the losers of America.

Hey don't give the socialist/communist watermelons any ideals. Free Health Care, free food, free housing and free transportation will become mantras up there.

Free Health Care, free food, free housing and free transportation

These will only be "free" for a short time. Eventually we will be taxed on the value of the free health care, food, housing and transportation.

Remember when the Clinton Administration was considering adding the rental value of a home to ones income for tax purposes?

That would have to be brought up to the P.C. PolitiBureau. Fill out these 400 forms and it looks like the approx. waiting time is 11.666 years.

Of course that would have only applied to conservatives.

They were so desperate to increase our taxes. Je$$e Jack$on wanted to have a one time 10% tax on all IRAs, 401k's, Keoughs and pension plans as an early payment to descendants of slaves.

Conservatives know there is never a free lunch, free medical care, free housing or even a free Free Republic. Someone has to pay.

Yes, of course. I truly expect that one day non-Democrats will be taxed for being "politically correct".
