A Marin County man has died of head injuries he suffered while heading for that big weekend peace rally in San Francisco.

Two people were hurt when they hit their heads on a San Francisco building overhang after sticking their heads out of a skylight on a converted double-deck bus.

Officials at San Francisco General Hospital say Tony Hernandez died yesterday.

Diane Canning of Sebastopol remains in critical condition.

The bus had been converted by welding part of a V-W microbus on the roof. The skylight was in the V-W portion.

The pair were rushed to San Francisco General Hospital, where they were both listed in critical condition with massive head injuries.

IMHO, these two will be Darwin Award winners very shortly........

I smell a Darwin Award.

Without a doubt, this is the latest prospect/suspect for this year's Darwin Award. However, this is not bizarre enough to actually win. This is normal behavior for these SF types. This guy may not even finish in the top 10, but he is definitely a candidate.

Who went to protest in a van
With his head through the roof
feeling high and aloof
he hit a facade, and isn't it odd,
he now is the Headless Protestman.

The Van owner, probably some dope smoking watermelon hippie on welfare the past twenty years. He has worked for the renta mob agents to transport similiar POS's to and from these stage protests.

He was a misguided idiot but may his soul rest in peace. I hope an attorney sues the peace organization into bankruptcy.

May God be merciful and lift up Tony Hernandez to the Light of His countenance, and may perpetual Light shine upon him.

"Low Clearance!" he read
So he stuck out his head
And was racked by a rock in the span

Tasteless, but you asked.
