Not to interrupt, but this needs at least one limerick:
California's governor, Gray
Let his buddies drop slop in the Bay.
Said he, "They? Pollute?
They've paid me! It's moot!"
It's high time that we Lose the Gray.
To: Chairman Fred
True excellence, Chairman. I bow.

And I always thought that great poets had to be tormented liberals...
Then again, there's bad poets like Maya Angelou who is a tormented liberal...
Either way, great job Fred!
To: RightOnTheLeftCoast
To all Gray voters
From the grave
Before you vote
Get a Burma-Shave

Here's another limerick -
As noted in October's "Newsday"
Gray Davis has often asked, "Who'll pay?"
The State's gone to hell
And Enron as well,
But at least there's a chance
Come this Tuesday!

When a candidate needs "Hollywood Celeb Pictures" to get votes that should Insult the People of California. It suggests their only ability is to look at pictures depicting "Make Believe (Presidential/Hero) Characters"to make a VOTING decision, but not the ability to Read in depth "Reality Truths" about a candidate. We have often seen Jay Leno go out into the streets in California and ask randomly simple 5th grade U.S.Geography or History questions(Who was Thomas Jefferson?.No,not the tv show "Movin' On Up"- The Jeffersons). So this must be the only way Davis can get the Vote, sad!

This election depends on turnout.
You have, on the one hand, the dependable pickpockets, the folks who vote for a living. They'll vote.
You have the senior citizens, scared out of their wits that their social security checks will be torn up by eeeevil Republicans. They'll vote.
You have the committed Leftist True Believers: the Malibu liberals, for example. These folks might be torn between the scandalous Gray Davis and what they perceive as the honorable, principled Green Camejo. A Martin Sheen endorsement speaks directly to this crowd. Smart move on Davis' part. They'll vote.
You have the single-issue types. They'll vote, most often to block any candidate from taking office who believes it's a not-good thing that about half of all pregnancies end in the slaughter of the fetus, no matter if the candidate could have any influence on the practice or not. They'll vote.
A few folks will find all the candidates impure on some single-issue or another. They won't vote.
Then you have the true RINOs. They might sit out this election, peeved and petulant that an actual [spit] conservative offed the party's rightful nominee. They won't vote.
You have the Jones Republicans, still smarting that their guy didn't do better against a political novice. They might not vote.
You have the Silent Majority... folks who are turned-off of the whole process and a huge segment of the potential electorate (see
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/763653/posts --"The Myth of the Middling Non-Participant"). Thanks to Davis' relentless assaults, the Simon campaign's ineffectiveness, and general ill-informedness, they might not vote. I've actually had people from this category say, "I can't vote for Simon after such an inept campaign"... as though being a slick politician is a good thing! For folks like that, I give you Bill Clinton. Enough said.
Finally you have the conservative base--people like you and me. We got fired up about Simon (especially versus RINO Richard Riordan and tax-hiking Bill Jones) and nominated him, holding Riordan to a single county! But the Left's divide-and-conquer strategy of wearing us down has been very effective.
Will we vote?
Will you?
The outcome of this election is in our hands, gang.
Get out the vote!

The Guv of the Golden State
Is much to scared to debate.
FReep Chicken and Hooker,
Apply the pressure cooker,
So the voters can get their facts straight.
Lose the Gray

See Gray Davis Play
For Pay
While State Deficits go Up
California Down on Luck
But, all Govenor Davis wants to do is raise
more campaign bucks.
Gone are California's golden days.

I received a call this afternoon from the Hollywood moron movie actor Martin Sheen's computer recorded voice spewing democrat propaganda. Before he finished saying he plays the President on Left Wing I had the enormous pleasure of hanging up on his speil even though it was only a recording.
