Yes, death is a bitch and often unpredictable. Re-writing this code would be a burden to other candidates across the ballot.

This is news to me. I live in Olmsted County, and if they are refusing to send out absentee ballots, I am pissed off and gonna raise Hell.

He's making an excellent point - no need to mail ballots to *all* previous absentee voters; action by the voter (call and ask for a new one) is required

As he is saying right now, if you do contact election officials for a new ballot, you should be able to vote again.

This guy is good!

**Yes, every vote should be counted. But how the heck do you do it in only 5 days?**

With God, all things are possible.

I am praying.

Seems to me that this Justice Anderson is working pretty hard to give the 'Rats what they want.

Pubbie attorney sits down. He did well, IMO. DFL attorney back up for rebuttal.

"The government should not do more than respond to the affermative request for a new ballot. The government should not presume that their previous ballot is invalid."

...refused to send out ANY absentee ballots?

From what the Repub lawyer said, they stopped sending out ballots yesterday...don't know the exact legality of that. Sorry for the confusion.

I warned the Coleman people on Tuesday night that the RATS would seek to invalidate every absentee ballot. I hope they know this court better than the impression that I am getting.

'Rat attorney says it seems to him that the Court agrees with him, that the only question is "the mechanics" of it. Typical, condescending, 'Rat lawyer.

Okay, he canot speak well. Can he spell? You know, simple words like "lose." :)

OK wise guy. I caught that. (I can't spell for beans! I've certainly never bragged about THAT! LOL). I really can spell lose, though. This key board is going bad. And the space bar sticks REALLY bad. I have to try to recheck everything. ARG!
BTW,Why are wise men and wise guys opposites?

Hard to read the Chief Justice, but she seems to have some objections to the 'Rat argument.

As with the Repub lawyer, if you request a new ballot, it is not a problem.
