I believe that, unless Ehrlich is found in bed with a young boy or a dead girl, he is going to win this thing. Illegal and fraudulent voting in Maryland probably runs around 11%. I wouldn't bet on Ehrlich until he is at least 10 points ahead.

Let's face it. There's nothing wrong with blitzkreig get out the vote tactics. We're just jealous because we aren't organized enough to do the same. Personally, I would be irritated by anyone who called me 4 times to "remind" me to vote. I'd be tempted to tell them to kiss my behind.
How many phone calls could republicans make to these homes before it is called voter intimidation?

If Ehrlich was found in bed with a young boy it could help him in Montgomery County, sort of a "San Francisco of the East."

Of course, the Dem. machine is also employing some tried and true last minute sheeple inundation tactics. They have hundreds of paid and unpaid volunteers flooding voters with phone calls and door-to-door literature drops.
It's not just the Dems, fortunately. Here in western Maryland, there are quite a few Republican volunteers going door-to-door. I was happy to see this, even if they did wake me up on a Saturday morning one time. :) I have not received any visits, mailings, literature, etc. from Democrats at all.

I loved it Wednesday morning on Imus when Joe DiGenova referred to Maryland's Lt. Gov as Kathleen Skakel Townsend! LOL!

you will be one of the many who do this and the democrats will say that you voted twice...

"As many as 9,000 Republican voters have been forced to reapply for absentee ballots"
Mr.S, I recieved the new application Friday the 25th. It had to be returned by the following Tuesday, and mailed back {to me} by the next Tuesday all by the USPS. IF I "received" an absentee ballot, it would be illegal to vote in the polls. I didn't return the application, and will be crawling {if necessary} to the polling booth on Tuesday. Aggravating!! Peace and love,George.

"On Monday, Frank DeFillipo, the resident Yellow Dog Democrat on Ron Smiths radio program on Mondays at 5 PM, said that the Baltimore Sun's editorial board was "split right down the middle" on who to endorse. That's absolutely unheard of."
I have been waiting patiently for the Sun to come out with their endorsement for governor. Here we are 4-5 days from the election and the Sun is silent. It's surprising since they have been out there with endorsements for every other local or state race for some time now, but not for governor.
The delay suggests that DeFillipo is right that the board is split or that the Sun editors may be leaning towards Ehrlich. In this case and in keeping with the good liberal/Dim rag that they are, they might hold up the Ehrlich endorsement to the last possible moment (maybe in the Sunday paper) which would minimize the potential damage to KKT (most Dims are not speed readers).
The momentum appears to be swinging toward Bob Ehrlich in these final days. I believe that the state is sensing that KKT is not the better candidate and change is in the wind. I just hope that the Dim voter fraud is somehow kept to a minimum.

I received an automated get-out-the-vote political call last night. It was a recording made by Rudy Guiliani.
Unfortunately, it was for the California governors race. Vote for Bill Simon!
I've been registered to vote in Maryland for 2.5 years now. They must be using old, old voter rolls in CA campaigns now.

I was happy to see this, even if they did wake me up on a Saturday morning one time. :) I have not received any visits, mailings, literature, etc. from Democrats at all. There are a few dozen folks going door to door here in Howard County. They typically have address lists showing registered Republican and independent voters, and try to only hit those houses. I don't believe any of them are actually knocking on doors, I think they're just leaving literature on the door. The goal is not to win votes, but simply to get people to the polls.
You probably won't see any literature or receive any calls/visits from the Dems... unless you get something from a local candidate. They are specifically targeting certain neighborhoods and demographics (African-Americans, other traditional Dem. voters). And they'll certainly be ignoring Western Maryland... way too far outside their comfort zone.

Don't know if you're being serious about having difficulty getting to the polls or just making a point here, but if you or anyone you know *will* have difficulty getting to the polls, you *SHOULD* be able to contact your county GOP headquarters and ask them to help you get to the polls. If anyone tries this and has no success, please let me know, as I want to document it.

Thanks for the heads up about Annapolis. I guess it is not surprising that the liberal media can twist facts and reality any way they see fit to further their agenda.
That is really the difference between Dims and Pubbies. Dims see things in very emotional, illogical, and gray terms. Pubbies see things in very unemotional, logical, Black & White terms.

I will vote for Ehrlich Tuesday, however, once the dead votes are counted I fear there is little hope for his victory.

I will vote for Ehrlich Tuesday, however, once the dead votes are counted I fear there is little hope for his victory. That's why we have to drum up enough living and breathing voters for Bob. If enough Republicans and conservatives in Maryland actually come to the polls on Tuesday, Bob will win comfortably no matter how much vote fraud the Dems perpetuate. Turnout is KEY, and above-average conservative turnout is what it will take.

Funny that you should talk about emotion. I logged on to my computer at work today and check out the Baltimore Sun online and one of the first things that stood out to me was an article about Sportsmen supporting KKT!!! I almost blew a gasket. I dare say that most hunters in Maryland are NOT going to vote for KKT. All of the hunters that I hunt with are supporting Ehrlich and hate Kennedy's.

Illegal and fraudulent voting in Maryland probably runs around 11%. I wouldn't bet on Ehrlich until he is at least 10 points ahead. Yeah, it's not worth even trying unless he's 20 points ahead.
No! Make that 30 points!!!
Yeah, we should all just give up.
