I watched some of that last night and I could not believe it. I can't imagine anything worse than having the media cry Republicans has best stay off the campaign trail and show respect or else and then having the Democrats do this.
I fully expected them to do lets win one for the gipper... but this was way over the top. think the plan was to do a win one for the gipper. But they did not know how to do it. I thought Harken looked and acted like an a$$. I can't imagine this act playing in Iowa either.
And the Wellstone Son standing on Dad's grave leading the cheers had all the humanity of a NATZI get together to remember the good old days at the gas chamber.

I know Harkin is in a close race in Iowa -- with that evesdropping scandal fading away, I think all his Republican opponent would have to do is show clips of him at the Wellstone pep rally - - I'm hoping there are enough sensible Iowa folk left that are totally disgusted by this old pantload.....
Possible to take Harkin out with the rest of the trash??

It was awful- even for something awful. Thomas (Dungheap) Harkin was absolutely frightening to behold- I've always thought he would have made a good stand-in for Josef Goebbels, but last night showed me that he could play the lead without a hitch.
The Democrats had a real Nuremburg rally last night... they have their Fuehrer-in-exile, and they played the Horst Wessel card. The only things missing were the swastikas. Now we know how it can happen here, and like elsewhere, it comes from the left.
"Scary, kids, real scary."

And the Wellstone Son standing on Dad's grave leading the cheers had all the humanity of a NATZI get together to remember the good old days at the gas chamber. Precisely. I was listening to sound bytes and it was indistinguishable in tone and attitude from a NSDAP rally in Munich in 1933.
